The Legs by Lexi

“Quick Jack run!” screamed his mother. Jack ran out the door not turning once to look behind him. He approached a sea of people and asked them what they were running from; they didn't answer. Suddenly, from out of the clouds sprouted a pair of giant pink legs. Then he saw it. From under a big barrel of hay lay an axe glistening in the sunlight. Swiftly, Jack grabbed it. Courageously he ran towards the colossal beast, his heart pounding continuously in his chest. ”Bam!” on the floor lay his colossal body and perched between a tree were his legs.

The Legs by Ella

I was in the wood when it all started, how I disappeared. My Grandpa would tell me strange tales about unrealistic things. He told me that if you ever litter in a forest the trees would come alive and gobble you up. Obviously, I didn’t believe him, so I ventured out into the nearest forest with my litter. I unclenched my fingers as I released the wrapper. Suddenly there was a sound- BOOM! on a continuous repeat. Thick legs sprouted from the tree trunks. Thin branches swept me from my feet. Twigs and vines wrapped around me. I was gone.

As I was running into the deep dark woods I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Abruptly, I came to a halt; in front of me was a pair of abnormally large wooden burgundy prosthetic legs. It looks like it has come from a person who makes hand-crafted products that are used for outdoor Eden projects. I feel really scared because it looks like it was the thing what was chasing me all along. I must go home, this is not normal. Continuing my treacherous journey I thought I could outrun the thing. Suddenly, I started to…

The Legs by Clara

"Wow! What a worthless pile of junk!" a woman sarcastically exclaimed.
A group of people from the well-off village of Harlop had been wandering through the fores, hunting pheasants, when they had stumbled upon what seemed to be a useless sculpture. Walking off, they had never noticed a huddle of malnourished children from the poor village of Hillsland watching from the bushes. A small boy scampered to the pair of tin legs and knocked on them.
"Whoosh!" the legs slid up and the ground opened up.
"Wow!" whispered the boy. Underneath the model was a room filled with gold...

…Although they ran quickly, they were still not making enough progress…by Clara

The group scampered and sprinted away from whatever was chasing them. They had not wanted to find out! …Although they ran quickly, they were still not making enough progress as the thing was getting closer and closer. The dark tunnel stretched onward for miles, and one of them called out, "I can't ... run ... for much longer!"
"We need to turn around and accept our fate!" panted another.
Slowly they took a deep breath and turned around. Stood before them was the person they had been bullying for years, their face blood-stained, their eyes wide, holding a knife and a camera....

They could hear their hearts pounding in their chests. ”3,2,1, start!“ yelled the zoo keeper before blowing his bright red whistle. All around them was a blur. The crowd roared with applause and they ran as fast as their little legs would take them. Although they ran quickly, they were still not making enough progress to catch up with the cheetahs. Every second, animals would drop to the floor in pain and sheer exhaustion but they weren’t going to give up now. The finish was in sight. Now it was neck and neck. Who would win and who would die?

Great, today is sports day! Chloe, who is very slow at running, loathed this day. Chloe’s least favourite race was the 4 by 100 metre relay and her sports teacher, Miss Fieldman, has selected her to take part in that race. The race has finally arrived, Chloe was first up in her team, as she ran like a snail to her teammate in front of her, she passed the metallic blue baton and as her teammate ran although they ran quickly, they were still not making enough progress. Chloe was very disappointed as her teammates were slow at running.
