As the door slammed by Natasha
As the door slammed, I knew that this house was different - it was haunted. I came across this house in the middle of nowhere. I was curious about what was inside. There were many floors and there was broken glass from where the windows had smashed. Spiders crawled up the walls. The furniture was covered in cobwebs. Everywhere I looked, I saw large rats making homes out of old materials that were lying on the floor. It sent shivers down my spine. I quickly ran out of the house. As the door slammed, I knew I would never return.

I was waiting for the end of the day. It seemed to take hours just for one minute to to go by. When you think about it it seems really short but it's not.....
I waited and waited but it was like time wasn't here it just left. I finally finished maths and it was time for lunch. Lunch is my favourite time of the day. Sometimes anyway. It depends on what it is to eat. After lunch it was time for science. Nothing really happened. But when I got home, as the door slammed, I knew it was the holiday.

As the door slammed I knew that he was here. That he was waiting. I cautiously went downstairs and the door was wide open. I slammed it shut and locked it. As I turned to go back to my room he was stood there watching me. "I'm always here Nieve. Deep down you know that right?"
''I do," I whispered.
"I need you to do me a favour."
"Always."
Suddenly a knife fell off the table onto my foot. I screamed as the sharp blade stabbed into my foot. I turned around painfully and saw my brother was gone.

“Hooray” it was finally here. I’d been waiting to stay at my aunt’s house in the country for weeks. “You do know that her house is haunted don’t you” said my sister grinning. She was always winding me up. We got out of the car after what seemed miles down a leafy lane. I grabbed my bag and headed for the bedroom at the back of the house. It wasn’t haunted, I thought but it did feel cold as the wind rattled the window. I looked up and saw a shadow on the wall then as the door slammed, I knew she could be right!

As the door slammed, I knew by Maddie
Last year on Friday 13th I was left alone in my cosy bungalow. Earlier on that day I knew my parents were going out, but I didn't know I was going to be left on my own as I thought someone was coming round to baby sit me. Obviously, not! Later, at about 9:30pm, things were getting out of hand because shadows kept appearing everywhere and it kept making seriously frightening sounds. Then I heard knocking from the kitchen. So, I crept down the hallway quietly, then as the door slammed, I knew I needed to get out and fast....
As the door slammed shut I knew... by Lexi
As I stepped across my wooden door frame into the warm and cosy atmosphere of my house, I noticed that something was wrong. I yelled for Mum but there was eerie silence. Where was Dad and his beloved computer, where were my sisters and where was the TV they were always glued to? As I tilted my head to the right, I suddenly noticed a heap of shattered glass spread across the floor. Just then, as the door slammed shut I knew what dreadful thing had happened to us but surely it couldn’t be, could it? Had we been burgled?

Hide and Seek by Jack
Today I woke up to a brand new day and turned on my TV, I was watching my favourite YouTube channel when my sister and her friend came into my room, as my sister's friend had stayed the night we all decided to play hide and seek I had a really good spot which was in my bedroom and then the seeker was on the loose looking for me and my sister, my sister wasn’t paying attention and shut the door hard and as the door slammed I knew the seeker would find us both, so I told my sister to hide somewhere else whichshe did as the seeker was opening the door she got caught and I was the victor for that game.

My Day by Clara
My rage fizzled over. “Fine!” I yelled, storming out of the room. The door almost came off its hinges as it rocketed shut. But as the door slammed, I knew I was being a brat. I burst into tears, my mum was crying… I had made her cry! “Shhh,” I whispered to her, stroking her hair softly. “I didn’t mean to upset you.” I cried even more, my face soaked with tears. Together we cried enough tears to fill the Atlantic Ocean. “I’m so sorry!” I gurgled between sobs. I nestled my face against Mum’s neck, and all was forgotten.
