Christmas Picture by Joshua

It was a frosty night, when a mythical creature was caught on camera sluggishly moving through the gloomy streets of London. The creature was described to look as round as a bauble with a sharp basil green holly leaf on its back. The mysterious figure appeared to be carrying an enormous ruby red present as the stars on him shone brightly against the jet-black sky. On closer inspection, the creature only had one eye which was located on the right side of its ghost white cheeks. All of a sudden, the creature disappeared from camera and was never seen again.

The Christmas Picture by Julia

As I walked into the magical room, I saw billions of things. A ruby-red, prickly holly hung from the ceiling as a sapphire-blue bauble spun around it majestically. I stood frozen, staring in wonder at each individual decoration.
To my right, was an enchanted box with gorgeous ribbons wrapped around it neatly. Bright yellow lights burst out of it; gleaming dazzlingly. Filling the marvellous room, the pearl white stars covered it with joy.
A very bizarre floating eye caught my attention. Its blue eyelashes made me grin and laugh merrily.
After a split second, each incredible thing disappeared. I was left in the room alone...

The beautiful picture, that people hang on their wall when it’s Christmas, has a beautiful dark blue bulb that you hang on a Christmas tree. Also, there is an eye looking at the different things for Christmas. A holly that is also there has bright red berries and green leaves. There is also a present that looks like it was opened and is glowing. The stars on there might represent the sky at night when the stars come out and glow. All of those things represent the Christmas spirit and the time that people spend together.

Christmas Picture by Tom

Yesterday was Christmas Day, and I got some amazing presents.
I woke up and grabbed my stocking from the fireplace. My hand scrambled around inside looking for a present. I clenched a small orange box with a blue ribbon on it. I tore it open, inside was an orb with a 2D eye inside. The other side was blank, it confused me. Then, my excitement fell as my mum was taking down the holly and my dad was taking the baubles off the tree. I sighed and turned the orb over to find that it said, ' Life isn't always happy'...

One Christmas morning by George

One Christmas morning, I woke up and looked out of the window. I could see crispy snow covering the holly. I shouted as loud as I could, “Merry Christmas!” I swiftly walked down the stairs trying not to trip. Out the corner of my eye, I saw a red box with blue ribbons vibrating. It was surrounded by ultra-marine, shiny baubles. I curiously approached it. By this time, my family were with me. My mum lifted it up. An enormous anaconda slithered around the house, with its tongue (which looks like a zip) hanging out. Suddenly, the animal disappeared.

Christmas Picture by Jessica

As Christmas is around the corner baubles are being put on the tree. Stars are shining bright and presents are being wrapped. It’s a busy time of year for everyone. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a big red box with blue ribbon around it, I really hope it’s for me.
While my mum was outside picking fresh holly, I took a quick peek to see who it was for. The big gold gift tag said, ‘To Jessica S, Merry Christmas from ?’
I can’t wait to open this gift on Christmas morning. What could it be?

As Christmas Day drew near by Roxanne

As Christmas Day drew near and near,
Everyone was in good cheer.
Eyes were gleaming,
And children were dreaming,
About the wrapped presents – that may lay in their stockings on Christmas Day.
The trees were shown, with a star on-top
As the baubles, hung stop after stop
The tree of holly blew wild,
As the snow piled, like a running mile.
This is known as a Winter’s Christmas,
The kids play – day after day
And no-one remembers dismay.
For all is jolly in this jolly season
Although there is no need for a reason.
For Christmas Day is very special…

Decorating the Christmas Tree - Faith P

As I tied the ribbon on the yellow spotty box I was so excited that today was the day I was going to decorate the Christmas tree.
Mum was outside taking cuttings of deep green holly with bright red berries to make a wreath for the front door.
The first bauble I pulled out from the box was a bright blue one, I carefully placed it on one of the branches and I found myself gazing into the shiny mirror effect ball reflecting my beady eye back at me.
My favourite part is placing the sparkly star at the top.

Painting is Léon’s favourite thing to do! I mean he does it all the time but creativity just flows right out of him, but the other day he had no creativity coming out of him at all. So, he went asking around, he asked his Mum and she wanted him to paint a bauble coloured red, his sister wanted an open Christmas present, his best friend Harry a Christmas holly and his art teacher wanted him to paint an eye. When Léon had asked everyone, he decided to paint all of them! And his painting was amazing.

The picture by Madi

I was looking online for some weird pictures to draw. They were all crazy but this certain one caught my eye as quick as a flash. It was extraordinary. Christmas themed too!
On the left side of the picture was a lightbulb, blue, with a few marks. Also surrounded with three glistening stars.
On the right side of the picture was an eye; almost like a drawn eye. It looked like it had been drawn with a blue felt-tip pen.
In the middle was a piece of mistletoe and a red, spotty present. I decided to draw it. Magical.

Harley - But they were exhausted

A boy named Tim was competing in a 10,000m run today. When he got to school he found out that the competition started at 12:00 so he got prepared just before the big event. Suddenly, Tim got pulled over to go race, this was it the 10,000m run. Just before the race someone got a colossal microphone and screamed, “On your marks, get set, go!” Tim was speeding round the corners in first place so he decided to walk the last part. After the race people told him, “You should've ran to the end!”
He replied with, “But they were exhausted.”

Bradley - but they were exhausted

At a speed of a hyper gazelle, the incredible runners of the Olympic Games final (eight hundred metre sprint) rapidly took off the starting line to gradually reach the finish. Usain Bolt lead the race and was determined to break the world record for the fastest time around an eight hundred metre track. Not far behind was Johan Blake, just trying to impress his loving family at home. Watching Usain made it look easy and that anyone at an average running speed could do it. When they eventually crossed the line, they were celebrating like mad but they were exhausted...

Kaitlin - but they were exhausted

Running as fast as they could, Emma and Lulu were being chased by the school’s meanest, biggest bullies, Bob and Bill (who are twins). “Go into the paper shop around the corner,” Emma said anxiously hoping they won’t find them in there. Quickly, they ran into the shop trying to get their breath back. The coast was clear, they needed to go but they were exhausted. Suddenly, the huge, creaking door began to open, and then Bob and Bill stormed into the shop. They began to search to see if the girls were there, and then they found the girls...

Aaliyah - but they were exhausted

"JOHNNY! You cheated I am the ultimate champion on bowling."
"Says who?"
"SAYS ME! I demand a rematch!"
"No."
"Only because you know this time I will win. So there."
"I guess we're going home then because you are a wimp aren’t you?"
"Fine!" Lucy inserted her last pound coin and played.
A few minutes later, "HOW? HOW? This isn't possible you’re a.... a..... a..... CHEAT."
Before Johnny could react everybody in the whole arcade was staring at him. "NO I’M NOT!" he said as he stormed off to the toilet as laughter raged.
"I'm sorry wanna go get ice cream?" Lucy asked when he came out.
"Yeah," he replied but they were exhausted.

Jessica - but they were exhausted

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve. Everybody is having fun and the Christmas tree lights are shining bright. Christmas carols are being sung while others get ready for Santa. Families come home and strangers make new friends. The last door on your advent calendar has now been opened, now it's time for Santa. As the excitement builds snow starts to fall. Candles are lit and fires are blown out. Mince pies are put in the oven and the Christmas cake is being iced - it had to be done by Christmas Day but they were exhausted...

Julia - but they were exhausted

It felt as if I was running for eternity. The hostile forest seemed to be getting even more threatening. I did not expect wolves to chase me forever! I ran and ran, as fast as my strained legs could carry me.
The vicious beasts howled and would never stop. Their teeth were as sharp as knives sticking out from their yapping jaws. But they were exhausted. I hoped to hide somewhere where they couldn’t find me.
Then I heard the soft, sniffing sound which filled my heart with horror.
A furry head lurked behind a nearby tree, glaring at me menacingly.

George - but they were exhausted

The two men were working on a diabolical plan to ruin Christmas. Their names were John and Mark. Their plan was that they would break Santa’s sleigh preventing him delivering any presents. They repeatedly bashed the vehicle with a hammer. Nothing happened. They were going to get a chainsaw but they were exhausted after all that hammering. They headed back to their old-fashioned bungalow. The crime was reported to the police who put up wanted posters of the pair. The nefarious criminals were found and punished with a 100-year prison sentence. Santa was able to deliver presents once again.

Faith - but they were exhausted

My family were looking after our friends’ pug dogs and I was excited as I love them. I was promised that when they returned I could take them for a walk before they went home. While waiting for them, I played with the pugs with their toys and they followed me around the house. When our friends came back I rushed to get the dog leads to go for a walk, but they were exhausted and didn’t want to move from their beds they just wanted to sleep. I was so disappointed, but had spent an amazing time with them!

Madi - but they were exhausted

It was an ordinary day, sat on the couch, and I was watching the TV. I was watching the show, ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!’ It was quite extraordinary because they were doing this challenge but they were exhausted. I mean, I would never carry on doing a challenge if I was exhausted! Anyway, the challenge was to go in a boat full of deadly beasts, [filled with water] and get 11 stars. It looked very scary, but they had to do it if they wanted to give food to the camp down in the jungle.

Lilly-Ella - but they were exhausted

On Wednesday morning just after the tough 10k run Rita, Paul and Lollie were supposed to go to the town school to entertain the children at their Christmas party (unlike other schools they have their Christmas party together) but they were exhausted!
Should they just not go?
That is what Lollie and Paul wanted to do, but Rita said, “No! We are going because if we don’t who will entertain the children?”
Paul and Lollie agreed with this - they knew they couldn’t let children down, especially because they had promised and they couldn’t just break a promise...

We seemed to be on the television. by George

We seemed to be on the television. My friend, Jo and I stared at it in shock. A picture of us came up and the news presenter stated, “Two criminals are wanted for stealing a man’s wallet.” A crime that we hadn’t committed was being broadcast worldwide. We had to convince the police that we were innocent. We dawdled to the police station where we were interviewed. The conclusion was that we were innocent and falsely accused. We got a thousand-pound compensation. We returned home and spent it on our families. It was not such a bad day after all!

Last night, I had one of the worst nightmares I've had in years, and you are probably wondering what happened. Well I woke up in the middle of the night screaming with joy because we seemed to be on the television (which meant we could turn internet famous). So, I ran to tell my mama, but she was fast asleep because it was 2.43am. I didn’t want to disturb her so I went back to bed, think what had just happened, was it a dream or was it really real. I think it was a dream.

Last weekend was the weirdest day of my life, let me tell you what happened. Me and my annoying little brother sat down to watch some TV. We were so engrossed in the show that we didn't notice the man sneak through our house and hack into our security system. It was getting up to our favourite part when the TV switched to another channel, it looked like a familiar room. I looked a bit closer and we seemed to be on the television. As I looked at my brother, I noticed he was fading from reality. Would I too?

Today, I woke up ready to have an interview with LeBron James (the best basketball player ever) because of my winning basketball shot from last week’s game. He says to me that my shot was outstanding (I shot from one basketball net to the other). When I scored the whole crowd stood up came onto the court and went crazy. In my opinion, it was one of the best shots in all the history of basketball. I looked into the distance and suddenly spotted someone with a camera. We seemed to be on the television.

As I was walking home, I saw a news crew in front of my house. I thought that it was for someone else but I was wrong. It was for us. I entered my house and it changed completely. All the walls changed and they were like circuits like in a technology. Me and my family we seemed to be on the television. They told me to act like we are doing our regular day life. I did what they said and then I realized that we were on the television. I ruined the show by acting horrible and depressed.

One evening, as the lights shone different colours, around the Christmas tree we were in bed and watching tv, when it said that me mum and dad were on the news with our Christmas lights.
Dad said, “We seem to be on the television.”
Then it was time to go back to sleep and we couldn’t have waited any longer.
Eight hours later, it was morning and we got a special gift for me mum and dad. We opened it and it was a Christmas calendar from everyone in the city because we had the most lights.

Me and my friend, who was 11 years old like me, were so confused, we seemed to be on the television! There was no reason whatsoever to why, or even how. It was very puzzling, it said that we had taken down an alligator, which I couldn’t do at all, even with a friend. We would have had to have a whole big group- and experts- to take down a vicious creature like that. I mean to be honest, I am quite happy that we were now kind of famous, but who would have told them such nonsense?

Two week ago, I went to the theatre to see a spectacular show. I went with my best friend, who is called Poppy). While the show was on, I found a camera man (who was recording) in the corner of the gigantic room. I had thousands of questions like; what is this man doing? Who is he? Why is he here? And lots more.
Two weeks later, we jumped on to the sofa-which is extremely soft-and turned the TV on. I noticed that...we seemed to be on the television. Poppy wondered how we were on, but I had an idea.

When I went Christmas shopping with my aunt we saw the news crew, we thought they were showing the car crash and continued with our shopping. We got carried away and ended up going to Primark and spending all of our Christmas shopping money so we went home to get more. My Nana clicked on the 1 O'clock news and it said something about local shoppers, we looked and saw we seemed to be on the television, our mouths dropped open as the news changed we agreed that we will go Christmas shopping next week. The next day, at school everyone was congratulating me for being the news.

Today, I had the best day ever, I woke up this morning to smell some crispy pancakes getting layered with oozy maple syrup, waiting downstairs for me to luxuriously feast on before a long day of school.
When I arrived at school, I noticed I had double PE and a Robin Hood production in the afternoon. WOO HOO! After that packed day of school, I had an interview with Usain Bolt about how well me and Dave did in the 100-metre sprint we did two weeks ago. For some reason we seemed to be on the television...

One night, I was invited to star on a game-show... I had no idea what it was, but I accepted it anyway.
When I arrived, there seemed to be a large building there – covered in lights – it looked pretty new, and extremely loud! (Which meant that there must have been a lot of people inside.)
When I stepped inside, I noticed a large amount of cameras rush towards me! It was like I was a celebrity or something... I look around and there were people standing around desks like me, but then I noticed... we seemed to be on the television.

I love TV, I think we all do. But have you ever been on TV? Well I have, and this is how. I always wanted to be on TV because then I would become famous! That’s why one day I helped this very important person and that very important person was the president of the whole country. Wow! Then in a split second we seemed to be on the television, me and the president. I couldn’t believe it. I asked him, “Does this mean I am famous now?” He just laughed then I got interviewed and everything it was amazing!

Today me and my friend went to a shop, it was full of the newest technology. When I looked at a TV, we seemed to be on the television. My friend was shocked by this and he decided to take a picture to go on Facebook. When he published it, we got a thousand likes straight away. Everyone wanted to see us because we were so popular, we were the cool kids. Until the picture was deleted by the guy who was the coolest before us. So, what a day it had been. It was so weird, so weird.

Me and my friend Robin are the best at stealing from Gringotts Bank because we have the coolest gadgets, that make us invisible but we seemed to be on the television all the time. People found out that the gold and silver has been stolen but that doesn't stop us because they can't find us when we are in my secret base, which has very high-tech security.
Now we have to use our rocket boots because they have found us and are chasing us through the fields. “I can see the base from here.” So luckily we jump in.

It was a Friday night and I had just got home from a hard, stressful week at school. I threw my bag on the floor and my mum said, “Have you got any homework?”
“Yes” I said with a sigh. “It’s a hundred-word challenge.”
“What’s the phrase?”
We seemed to be on the television…” I said.
Mum gasped, “Oh my goodness, how are you going to do that?”
I said, “I really don’t know, maybe one day I will be on the tv and be really famous.”
“I wish,” mum chuckled. “We are both famous in my eyes.”

It was a gorgeous day, so as a family we decided to visit Lincoln Castle and Cathedral. As we climbed Steep Hill we looked in the windows of the little shops on the way up. Without knowing, when we got to the top Peter Levy from BBC Look North was filming live talking into a camera, I then realised that we seemed to be on the television as the cameraman turned around to show how busy the area was becoming. I smiled and carried on walking, I never thought when I got up I would be on the television that day.

Whilst me and Harley were playing football in the park, we thought about going to a football tournament on Friday. Both of us started getting a little bit hungry so we ate some creamy Nutella with some crispy delicious crackers and ate all of the packet. After, we decided to drink our sweet orange juice. We saw a fun football court, so we decided at the same time to play. When we both got home we sat on our clean sofa and watched some television and we realised that we seemed be on the television. We both went to tell everybody about it.

At my school, we were doing a race between the fastest year six 80m sprinters. I thought my friend would win but I entered anyway. There were about 10 fast racers all lined up waiting to go, each one was very eager to win.  The race was about to start; on you marks, get set, go! It ended up with me winning and my friend, who I thought was going to win, coming second. I looked around and noticed a film crew at the race, I was amazed ...we seemed to be on the television... wow!  We might be famous.

Dear Diary,
Last night was a strange night! A very strange night!
It all started when I sat down at 6.00pm with hot chocolate and cookies in the front room with my Mum and we seemed to be on the television. Why you may ask...  We had won a competition that I entered last week without my Mum knowing. The competition we won was one where we won a free holiday to America. Mum was so pleased that I had entered!
I’m writing this now on the plane whilst hoping to have the holiday of a lifetime.

Down the road, lived two elves called Alan and Abbie who were naughty especially at Christmas. They lived with a boy called Benjamin and caused havoc in the miniature bungalow. It was Christmas Eve, which was as cold as an iceberg. Suddenly, there was a crash and Benjamin and his parents came rushing down, little did they know they were about to witness the most incredible thing of their lives. The thing was Santa, who had a stomach like an exercise ball, was stuck in a chair and said, “We seemed to be on the television tonight.”
