…but I didn’t understand the instructions… by Lexi

There I was, travelling cluelessly at 24,790mph through space. Let me take you back an hour...
Deafening screams of pain and fear echoed throughout the once peaceful planet. I was laying in bed, scared, until my dad came running in; his hands shaking and eyes red and teary. “They’re here!” he whispered
“Who are?”
“The humans!” I scrambled out of bed and together, we tiptoed cautiously down to the secret bunker holding the one and only: ‘Space rocket 2000’. He gave me the guide on how to use it, but I didn’t  understand the instructions in the book! 5,4,3,2,1 blastoff!

…but I didn’t understand the instructions…by Tegan

''But I didn’t understand the instructions!'' Courtney cried.

''You should have looked at them more carefully then Courtney! '' Imani shouted back at her. The two girls looked furiously at each other.

''What have you two girls done?'' questioned their mum.

''She did it.'' They shouted at each other as they pointed at each other.

Later that afternoon Imani went to her friends and Courtney was left at home she went onto the internet and decided to get a replica of their school project and gave it to Imani when she got back.

She got back and apologised to Courtney.

Earlier on today, I had to do my homework which was sooooo hard!!! I even had to bring my dumb mum to try and help me. That didn’t work. I knew what you had to do but I didn’t understand the instructions. Why do I have to do it anyway? It's all just stupid stuff which wasted half a day of my life which I will never get back again. Thanks, teachers!! Anyway, now I have finally finished and I ran to the freezer and got a chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream with a flake, smarties and a cone.

I was sitting on my chair one day in summer, when I realised, I was hungry. I sprinted downstairs and went into the cupboard where the bread was, I needed my PB&J sandwich. Then something awful happened...

I looked at my hand because usually I have the instructions on there, but I must've washed my hand because they were gone.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

I ran upstairs quickly and sat on my floor. I pulled a big black case out from under my bed and looked inside. There they were, the spare instructions that my mum had written. I started looking at them, but I didn't understand the instructions...

Laser by Samuel

"Make sure you read the instructions if you do then nothing can go wrong, explained Commander Johnson. Johnson had created a laser with a group of scientists to destrosatellite launching nuclear bombs into the earth's most iconic landmarks and countries but for some reason this great commander trusted a rookie with the laser.
Two months later, it was time to destroy this satellite but one mistake and it would blow up our beautiful earth"But I didn’t understand the instructions!said the rookie.
"It's too late now I'm sorry I trusted you!said Johnson. It's all over.

…but I didn’t understand the instructions… by Ella

It was a normal day like any other but summer was here, summer was my favourite time of the year. It meant no homework. I would just sit watching TV all day long and only eat junk food. Sometimes I would often imagine I was in a TV show called Pirate madness and all the pirates would speak with funny accents. My hero Captain Blackboot told me one day to find the old treasured pirates loot on the Stolen Island , but I didn’t understand the instructions so I sailed off all on my own following the old treasure map.

"But I didn’t understand the instructions!" There I was, shouting and arguing with the teacher, telling her about my missing homework. This was one of my old excuses. Things have been hard lately. Mum had been worse than usual and I had to do everything around the house. At home it's only me, Mum and Daisy (our dog). I just don’t have time to do homework or to play out with friends or anything. I just hope that one day Mum will get better and we could do all the things we used to do together. I wish...

…but I didn’t understand the instructions…by Scarlett

Yesterday morning I had been oblivious to what was happening. I was awoken by screaming. When I opened my eyes I saw my wall illuminated by crimson lights so bright that it burned my eyes, and saw huge metal bullets hit the earth. People outside shouted at me to do stuff, but I didn’t understand the instructions, but mum quickly ushered me outside and underground into a bleak room. 12 hours later, mum lead me out of the room and outside. I stood dazed as I saw my cute little hometown was now just a smoky field full of rubble...

I took a deep breath. "You've got this," I thought to myself. It was my first day at my new job. My job was at the factory where everyone comes to work on their 18th birthday, and I had been placed in control of the factory security. My new boss had been to see me earlier to tell me what I was to do, but I didn't understand the instructions they had given me. I had been organising my pencil pot when alarm bells started to ring. I panicked, pressing as many buttons as possible. "I've killed us all!" I screamed.

…but I didn’t understand the instructions… by Ben

It's Saturday, my friend's birthday and he chose go karting, his favourite, which I am sort of good at but not amazing.
There were not many people there, in fact it was just us. The man greeted us and told us the rules of what to do, but I didn’t understand the instructions properly. We suited up and got onto the track where we chose our race cars (well go karts I just like to think them as race cars) and we set off.
Waiting for the green light to go ...BEEP, and we are off, or am I?

…but I didn’t understand the instructions…by Grace B

I was building a Big Ben 3D jigsaw puzzle in my cosy pink bedroom. It was a brand new puzzle that I'd treated myself to, with my birthday money. After 10 minutes of setting up the puzzle, I realised that the instructions were in Russian (RUS.) But I didn’t understand the instructions. The problem is that I can’t put the pieces together because usually the instructions tell you which piece goes where.  The perfect result will be finishing the jigsaw puzzle, it will be a great achievement that I will have accomplished all by myself without any help at all.

SHOUTED CRIMSON MISTY FRANTICALLY GRAVE by Maddie

One sad afternoon, I went to visit my brother's grave when I heard a noise. At first, I didn’t think of it much but I wish I had. So, I frantically shouted to it to be quiet but it never stopped. I looked up at the crimson misty sky which looked like it was going to be a full moon. I didn’t know what to do so I ran as fast as I could all the way home.
After I reached home I looked around but nobody was in. Where had they gone? AAAHHHHHH!. I heard footsteps coming towards me...

It was a sad, late Saturday evening when I escaped out of my room to sneak to my dad's grave in the graveyard. Once I arrived there, I decided that I would only go to check it out for twenty minutes. It was so foggy and misty at the graveyard. To my shock, there was a crimson coloured liquid dripping, like blood. Ten minutes had passed, I really wanted to run but instead I shouted, "PLEASE STOP!!" even though I knew no one could hear me. I was frantically running all over the place. "BANG!!!" What was that? As soon as I turned around, there my dad was behind me...

I had a friend. A friend that was strange, to say the least. He liked shouting, in fact he was shouting now, he liked shouting so much in fact, he once shouted at the manager at Tesco. His favorite color was crimson (which I think is a bit strange), he liked misty places, and would run around frantically when he sees the sun. I know, he sounds like a vampire on that last one, but, no, he's not. He just prefers darker places, and, thankfully, he has not sucked my blood yet. (Yay!) So, that was my introduction to my friend.

Flowers
On that misty day,
The flowers lay in the misty garden,
But all you could see in the garden was bright colours.
Red, yellow, purple and orange,
But the brightest was the crimson red.
They shone brighter than the bright stars in the night sky.
As the mist was about the wind spun around them,
They danced frantically in the wind,
Their petals were falling off the stem.
The flowers shouted, "Come play with us!"
But little do they know soon it will all be over,
They are in grave danger,
Some kid will come and make its light fade,
To an end.

"Hurry up!" Shouted Jamie.
"I'm coming. " answered Lucy his little sister, as she ran to catch him up. They pushed with all their might to open the crimson, rusty gate. Thousands upon thousands of tilting slabs of slate covered every inch of the grass. "They're grave stones," Lucy announced as she dragged her tiny hand along the rough stones. The gravel scuffed the bottom of her shoes. The ground opened as if it was about to swallow her up. In a second she was gone. Frantically, Jamie stood there. Nothing was in the misty air, another grave stone appeared.

Sam loved life. But one day he was having a terrible day. He got in a fight and was in a bad mood. Then he suddenly got home and his mum was crying frantically. She said sobbingly that dad had died. She shouted and sobbed all night. 2 weeks later Sam went to the cemetery and saw his dad's grave. Sam looked at the gravestone sobbing. There was his name, Matthew Crimson carved on the stone. The air was misty and creepy so Sam headed back. Then he heard a creepy noise. It was like someone was calling his name...

The land of clowns.

My name is Crimson nice to meet you,
Don't know me?
Well you will do soon!
I once went up to this grave,
And it said,
'If you can read this send a wave.'
I did it,
and next I knew,
I was in a room with the fireplace lit.
It was misty,
I frantically shouted, "HELP!"
Someone said, "Hello, did you miss me?"
I screamed,
I yelled,
And the person they leaned.
They said "Hello, welcome to Playland,
This is also known as, 'Land of the Clowns'.
He took my hand,
And sent me there without care.

Sitting at the grave of my father, I stared through the misty darkness, guarding. Waiting. The crimson moon shone down, making the drenched ground look soaked in blood. I must have waited for hours before I heard the inevitable battle cry. "CHARGE!" A lumbering brute shouted, his vague outline visible in the twilight. Frantically, I prepared myself for the Great War my father had started, and that I would finish. The Normals never knew what hit them. My telekinesis smashed through their brains, killing them instantly. Finally, the Abnormals were free to rule the Earth, as nature intended, once more.

As I was walking through the cemetery I noticed an old relative's misty grave. Then I thought to buy her some crimson flowers [her favourite colour], until I was baffled by a voice that shouted, "What are you doing here at this time little boy?"
Before he could ask me again I frantically ran back to my house. He came out with a hat and a walking stick - he looked innocent but you never know who to trust especially at night. As I got home I didn’t know what grave danger I was in, the guy was a murderer.

I frantically trampled through the mud. I did not know where I was going. He ran and shouted my name. My heart thundered. My hands shook. I could barely see through the misty, midnight air. I suddenly stopped.
The forest must have ended. I saw the apricot sunset ahead. I looked down and a grave stone. It was covered in moss and leaves, and bouquets of crimson flowers. I dug my nails in the carved letters and scraped some moss out so I could read it.

“No! Please!” I shouted.
“I’m sorry but there’s nothing I can do.” whispered Mum, a tear rolling down her cheek. Not believing her, I frantically ran towards my bedroom but suddenly tripped and ended up skidding across the crimson carpet into Grandpa’s room. I couldn’t bear the pain any longer. “Mum, can we visit his grave?” I asked quietly.
“Of course we  can,” she said whilst reaching out her arms to give me a big hug. Just before I went to bed that night I looked out of the misty window and there was Grandpa’s star, shining down on me.

I’ve just moved house to Illinois USA. I went to have a look at the graveyard behind my crimson fence, but there was one grave that stood out to me. It was [a] dull in colour and the letters on the headstone were unreadable so I had to scratch the letters out with my thumbnail and it read, “Fredrick Williams, sadly died on the 22 September 2000.” Wait that’s when I was born. “Chloe! Come on in its getting misty out there!" shouted mum.  I frantically ran to the fence jumped over and headed to the white door just then …
