Ladder Goldfish Flew Brown Slowly by Jakub

I looked up at an aeroplane as it flew over my head, you could hear it from miles away. It was so loud I had to cover my ears up to not hear as much of the rattle. Then it flew slowly into the distance and I went inside to feed my goldfish in its bowl, it had a brown castle with a little ladder to the top of the bowl. The goldfish started to jump out of the water. I went outside to play football with my friends then the football popped and I muttered to myself, "What a weird day."

Ladder Goldfish Flew Brown Slowly by Kiera

We were off to the fair tonight, it was cold and windy. I put on my brown coat, hat and gloves. Slowly walking through the rides and stalls, we managed to find the ticket office. The smell of hot-dogs, burgers and candy floss made me hungry, but mum said to go on the rides first. Walking past a stall I saw a goldfish it was golden yellow with 1 black mark. "Please can I try and win it mum?" The man gave me a small ladder to stand on because I was small. I threw the ball at the cans it flew knocking down all but 2.

Ladder Goldfish Flew Brown Slowly by Grace B

1965
Dear Diary,
Today I am going to the fair with my family because there is a new ride called hook a duck and I am going to try and win a goldfish. Plus there is a real life snake and ladder game. After we had something to eat, I had a plain double brown cheese burger with some French fries and Fanta orange fizzy drink. After nearly 2 hours at the fair we went back home. But the best ride was the bumble bee ride that flew around very slowly. It was the BEST FAMILY DAY EVER!

Ladder Goldfish Flew Brown Slowly by Lexi

Do you have wings? I do! One time I flew all the way to Australia. Once you are in the air, you can fly higher than a ladder among clouds and birds. You feel weightless like candy floss. They weren't always there though, they grew. One night I was watching my goldfish swim around continuously in his bowl. It's so boring just being able to swim or walk, but what if you could fly! The next morning when I woke up my back started to ache. Slowly, I sat up, that's when I noticed a huge pair of brown wings.

The trees fight back by Daisy

The forest near our house had been there for a long time. Some of the trees are believed to be up to a 100 years old! The local newspaper was had reported that some of the trees were to be cut down, to make room for the new café…
A young boy was giving out flyers of what the new café would look like. In the night, one of the flyers stuck onto a tree. Suddenly an army of wood figures were guarding the old trees. Now no one dare touch them. All of the people there ran swiftly back home, ahhh!

Twig Men by Maddie

One late afternoon, the twig men chief screamed at the top of his voice to his followers, "We are under attack!"
The chief and his team ran to the battle field to fight the enemy. The enemy were branches that had fallen off the trees; they liked to eat anything in their sight. The twig men knew it was going to be hard but they were never going to give up. They fought for what seemed hours; punching, kicking and doing ninja moves. In the end all that was left on the field was a huge pile of twigs.

Trees by Lexi

"It's coming!" barked Dan, heroically grabbing his children and running off into the distance. Screams of horror echoed throughout the world. All humans had now disappeared, and every man-made thing had crumbled into a pile of rubble. All that was left on the earth was trees. But what could they do, sit around and wait to be destroyed? No! They would run too. One by one, they ripped their roots out of the earth and sprinted past thorns and nettles, their slender bodies aching with pain. "Snap! Crack!" They were death's prey. The end was in sight, or was it?

The Invasion by Tyler S

They are here to take over the world. They're going to kill every creature in sight. They are vicious pieces of wood that have finally pulled themselves free from the thick trees. The only way they can be stopped is by being lit on fire. They seem to know a unique type of combat and are preparing themselves in the forest. Nobody is aware of the small army of ruthless Stickmen coming from revenge. They have been alerted by the smaller broken twigs which are scattered across the park with only humans to blame. The battle is about to commence....

Time Travel by Ben

This photo shows the ancient people of the stone age era which is over millions of years ago, no one really knows what happened but were about to find out today because I have been selected to test the new time machine that some very smart people made.

3 2 1 BLAST

I was away in the space time continuum.
There was a little window and out of it I saw lots of people but they looked like that they were in the past.
Clunk!
I landed the door opened and I saw aliens attacking the people and loud screaming!

The War by Olivia W

The story begins when Clare heard the news about a war. She didn’t know what war meant since she was only 4 years old.
"Tomorrow there is a war," announced Clare.
"Why?" questioned Grace.
"How am I to know?"
"Well I thought you would know!"
"What does war mean exactly?"
"Skip that and let's go investigate!!!"

They went to investigate the situation about the war, as they went on they saw a forest, as they went further they saw trees having a war, they laughed at the trees. The longer they stayed the more attached to the trees they became....

In the forest by Ella

In the forest there are many strange things, people sometimes disappear. The trees make faces and move behind your back. The leaves scuttle around your feet without the wind. The vines grab your feet and pull you down, trying to take you under the ground. But whatever you do, don't call for help. The noise angers the trees, they turn into warriors and frighten you deeper into the forest. Branches, twisted into fingers, claw at your skin. You end up with cuts and bruises that never heal. As you flee in terror, you start to notice the tree warriors surrounding you.

Tree-athletes by Grace B

I came to a sudden stop, in front of me there were seven ugly looking trees, all with their own unique sense of wonderful style. These mysterious looking trees came from the 2014 winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. These sweating athletes are training for the 2018 winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. These people are in a determined but very unbearable mood because they want to do well in the sports that the seven compete in. These athletes are in a calm training boot camp in North Cumbria. With the specialist help they need these Paralympians can achieve their dreams.

A walk in the woods by Kiera

It was a calm but dull morning I decided to take my dogs for a walk to the woods to play a game of fetch. Accidentally I threw the ball deeper into the woods and they both ran in after the ball. I slowly walked after them because I felt like someone or even something was watching me! Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a group of 9 or 10 stick men looking angrily at me. I ran out of the woods as fast as I could. Where and why they were there I had no clue but I was so scared.

The Tree-men by Jakub

These tree-men were made by an artist. All the creatures were made of twigs, leaves, thorns and nuts. The creator of the tree-men did not know that they were magical and could move. Soon, he built a massive army of the stickmen; they soon learned how to do karate. They trained every day to get stronger and more powerful. They defended their tribe from people who tried to cut down the trees to make furniture. They kept the wood for themselves. The trees soon used the wood to make homes. They were protecting everything they had. They still live now!

Twigmen by Clara

Sprinting through the overgrowth, the creatures were coming. Slender bodies as fragile as twigs, who knows, maybe the creatures were twigs. Without a whisper, their silent midnight mission started... to eliminate the main source of all problems on Earth... humans. Creeping into houses was their speciality. The army had been hired by Mother Nature to rescue the planet from its gloomy future. The first victims were those who actively sought the destruction of the Earth: the frackers amongst others. They went to sleep that night and never woke up. By the time morning came, all of humanity had been obliterated.

Winter Olympics by Tyler S

I am with my team in the Olympics bobsleigh final. I feel prepared for action.
3, 2, 1... and we are off!
We are speeding along as fast as a runaway train. As we speed furiously down the track everything becomes a crazy blur. We were moving very fast when we suddenly started losing control. Even though it was dangerously scary we still needed to finish. We swiftly approached the finish line without knowing the time. Had we been quick enough to gain gold. We waited nervously for the official results....
GOLD!
That's what we wanted and we’re beyond thrilled with the result.

...we were moving very fast.. by Olivia W

Today was the day we were finally moving, I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep. Later we waited a little till it was the evening so we would arrive at our new house in the morning. At 6:53 pm we started grabbing our stuff and walking to the car, we started to put our stuff in the back of the car. Whilst we were driving to our new house there was a load of traffic. As we started driving again, we were moving very fast when suddenly two cars crashed right in front of ours, I got scarred for life....

...we were moving very fast... by Ben

Today was the day that Samantha was going to the moon and the best thing about it is she is the first woman to go there! Of course she is really excited, but the journey is about three days, which Sam is not very pleased about but she'll hopefully sleep a bit of it.
"One hour until launch..." Sam heard a voice in her helmet.
"Copy that," she said but it felt more than an hour.
She wrote a bit of a dairy and here is the first line or so of it. We were moving very fast when we took off blast....

"Dad, are we nearly there?" moaned both the kids every five minutes.

"No, stop asking! It's really irritating. Also, no more toilet breaks! It's going to take longer to get there if you keep on." Dad said unhappily.

"It's not our fault! We can't help it!" the kids said.

"No more talking!" shouted dad. "Your treading on thin ice!"

We were going to the museum, although it wasn't going that well. It felt like we were going to turn around any second now.  That would have been a good move. We were moving very fast when we saw a car was coming our way, speeding out of control. We were going to crash.

...we were moving very fast... by Ella

We were in the car on our way to Scarborough for our holiday, we had travelled 50 miles on the highway when we started hearing sirens coming from behind us, flashes of blue and red caught my eye. Instantly, I turned my head to see out the window. A black car was racing towards us. Dad turned up the radio, whilst trying to drive faster away from the car, "Breaking News!" The radio announced, "A prisoner has escaped from jail."
No matter how fast we were driving, he was right behind us, we were moving very fast when there was a BANG!

...we were moving very fast... by Estera

Me and my mum were driving to France in our black Mercedes. It was a bright and warm day. We stopped after 2 hours for a break and get some more petrol. I quickly hovered over to the shop and got a freezing bottle of water to cool me down because it was so hot. We sat back down in the car and drove off. After 4 hours it was getting dark and my mum was getting tired. We were moving very fast when... CRASH! We hit something! I looked out the window. It was a big blue creature...

...we were moving very fast... by Mayzi

Last Thursday Layla passed her driving test. The next day she decided to take me and Sophie for a drive to Lincoln for a girl's day out shopping and for some dinner. I told Layla that, "We will get the train back home!" because she has had a drink of alcohol. "NO!!!!" She insisted as she sped off down the road. All of a sudden there was a huge, loud BANG and all I can remember is that we were moving very fast when we crashed! I also remember that Sophie died because of Layla, and I never forgave her.

“Five, four, three, two, one, Blast off! “ Smoke surrounded us as we took off into the air. We were moving very fast when suddenly, Julia’s eyes rolled back into her head like a zombie. What could I do? Was she unconscious? She certainly wasn’t responding. My mind was a car, racing cluelessly around a race track. We had now left the Earth’s surface and were zooming around in space. Should I continue to steer the rocket or possibly save Julia’s life? Mind made up, we plummeted back down to earth at a speed of 25,000 mph. Would we make it?

...we were moving very fast... by Clara

"STOP!" cried my little brother desperately. Dad was driving his Ferrari at 200mph.
"Why are you doing this?" begged Mum, who had no idea what was going on. We were moving very fast when for the first time, we all noticed the police sirens behind us. "What are those police cars doing?" whispered Mum.
"I'm sorry," Dad replied while accelerating even more.
"Just stop the car, Alan." Mum calmly commanded.
"I can't. I don't want to lose any of you."
Ahead of us was the pier, then the cold winter ocean.
"This way we will be together forever." Dad accelerated...

...we were moving very fast... by Jessica

On Sunday afternoon, it was swim training. We were moving very fast when we did the rapid relay races in the pool. We had to put in a lot of hard work in these sets. The speed makes a massive difference to us when we do this set because we must get our pulse rates up and the faster we go the better results we will get out of the amazing competitions. After 4 speedy lengths, I stopped to take my pulse rate and it had increased significantly. When it came to swim down, my pulse had to decrease. After a hard set, my legs and arms were aching.

We were patiently waiting in a lay-by for it to happen. Suddenly, a cow flew across the sky in front of my stationary van. I quickly ran to the back of the van to look at the radar, I immediately noticed that a tornado was coming our way. I swiftly hopped back in to the driver’s seat and put my foot down. We were moving very fast when I noticed that the tornado was one mile behind us! I took my seatbelt off and grabbed the camera and took many photos. I put my seatbelt on and drove away.

Magical Powder by Tyler S

One warm sunny day I was jumping high on my trampoline when I noticed something green sparkling on the roof. I came off the trampoline to get a closer look. It had a bright yellow outline that glowed. It looked like it was going to fall off the roof, then it came down the drainpipe and grew larger. I wondered what it could be. I picked it up and it made a twinkling sound. All of a sudden it melted into me and I became transparent! I felt so powerful! Now I can do anything I want without being seen.......

… it came down the drainpipe…by Clara

I screamed.
On the roof the house stood a gigantic hairy tarantula. I t must have been 6 feet tall with 30 centimetre hairs on each of its legs. Its jaws looked like it could swallow me whole. It came down the drainpipe. I think it looked hungry.... hungry for me. Scuttling towards me, its jaws clicking and snapping, white oozing fluid seeped out of its abdomen. The monster circled me like a record on repeat, wrapping me up in a cocoon... preparing its meal. Threads tugged at my throat, forcing me to choke. Then everything stopped.... and everything went black.

February 7th a crisp, cold, sunny day. The day Matt has to clean the guttering out. He hates to this because he hates heights so he tries to get it over quickly. While he was up there he dropped his cloth and it fell down the drainpipe. He quickly noticed and slid down his ladder and ran to the bottom. It came down the drainpipe but got wedged when it was just about to come out. Matt had enough, he got a crow bar and tried to get it out but he couldn’t seem to budge it oh no!

… it came down the drainpipe… Jakub

I went for a stroll around the city looking to do something. After a half an hour of my stroll, I went back home. I heard something coming down the drain; it was a map. I ran inside the house to show dad. My dad did not know what it was so he gave it back to me he asked curiously, "Where did you find it?"
"It came down the drainpipe." I said. "I will put it in my room."
Dad said, "Ok."
I put it in the cabinet under the desk. I wondered where that map came from then it disappeared!...

… it came down the drainpipe… by Lexi

The moon glowed red. Everyone’s eyes were bloodshot. Now the Earth was a zombie following the moon as it slowly drifted sideways. Even the houses were haunted by the moons hypnotic stare; fire places suddenly burst out colossal flames of orange and scarlet. Something bad was happening. Then the moon started started to get smaller rapidly until “BAM!” the moon had popped. Everyone woke up from their trance confused and worried. They took shelter under a near by tree as it rained a shaft of moonbeams. It came down the drainpipe, before disappearing into the ground never to be seen again.

As you walk past the rusty school gates they yawn, opening their jaws to eat people into the school. As you're being swallowed, your eyes catch a glimpse of an old drainpipe that spits out goo to the playground, it looks like its thrown up black liquorice and makes a squelching sound. Rumour has it once a boy got pushed into it and was sucked up. His spirit was trapped inside the pipe where it was contained until the goodness was absorbed. The drainpipe released the goo that was left,it came down the drainpipe. Now, the school searches for its next victim.

… it came down the drainpipe… by Daisy

It was an ordinary day. Nothing unusual about it, I sat playing a game on my phone listening to music. Then everything changed.

It came down the drainpipe, the most enormous spider you had ever seen! I froze so did the spider, it seemed to be staring right back at me. Even though it was impossible to see its eyes. Then it scurried so fast and went under the chair. I grabbed a cup and waited, then it was trapped. I got it in the cup and ran to the door and shut it tight.

As I looked around another was coming down the drainpipe…Nooo!

… it came down the drainpipe…, Olivia W

I always found it weird that we had a massive drainpipe, it's embarrassing when my friends used to come around, they used to laugh at it and say, "Oh look at the drainpipe" Ashly said, "I bet something will come out of it soon" Jessica said, they all laughed at the jokes they made. All of the things everyone started saying about it slowly became true. One day I was walking back home from school and it was quite dark out, I saw a clown up ahead it walked passed.
Later that night, it came down the drainpipe...

… it came down the drainpipe… ,by Estera

On Friday 13th I was walking to my nan's when I saw something falling from the radiant sky. It came down the drainpipe of a strange building and onto the concrete path. I wondered what it was so I went up closer to take a look at it. It was strange and cool at the same time. It looked like some sort of little compact time machine. It was blue and red with a lot of different buttons. I put it into my bag. When I came back home I pressed one of the red buttons and suddenly teleported...

“Help, Help someone has stolen my authentic necklace! Help!” Screamed the 27 year old woman. Later, the woman called the police. Soon the police arrived with some interviewers from the BBC and much more. All crowded round her the woman thought she could tell the police and the interviewers how it happened. “Hello Madam could you tell me what happened please?” questioned one of the newspaper reporters. Later on, it was like a ghost town, we all heard it drop; we all stood there in astonishment. It came down the drainpipe. What was it? How did it get there?

The Family by Tyler S

"What is in there?"asked the child to its parents that were standing nearby.
"I have absolutley no idea." answered one parent.
"Me neither," replied the other. "It just dosen't look natural," Odd looking objects everywhere."
"They are not speaking or moving," the child observed "it all looks so weird, not like us at all."
"I wonder what they are made of," spoke the first parent.
"Well I think it is boring," sighed the child "There is nothing for us to do here. Let's go home."
"Let's find the nearest portal and go back home," they agreed.

Talking statues by Alexander,

"OK, so let's have a vote on what game we shall play, ready?" I questioned. "Yeah!" screamed both the kids.
"OK, so hands up for Standing Still." Everyone put their hands up. "OK then." I said droopily, as it was my least favourite game. I was hoping for something else like Tig, or as some people call it, Tag. I don't really know why the kids like it so much, it's just standing still and hoping nobody will rob you, because if they do, guess what? You have to stand still and hope it was a prank, "You know what? Lets just go home."

Talking Statues by Ella

Statues, families of statues, all over town. Appearing one by one. If you stand and stare for long enough you can hear their whispers in the wind, all at once. It is hard to make out what they're saying. You can make out one of them is a child talking to a Mum, "Mum can they hear us?" it squeals.
"I don't know, honey." she replies in a hopeless voice.
They were trapped inside stone bodies and couldn't get out. People wondered and made up many interesting stories about them that would spread like a virus across the whole town.

The Bollard Family by Clara

“We stand here all day, yet hardly no-one ever notices us,” the bollard on the right (the father) stated.
“That’s not true. I can see the reflection of a man taking pictures of us,” the middle bollard (the mother) replied coolly.
“Hey! I didn’t ask you to take photos of us! I could report you to the Justice League of Bollards. They could take down all of humanity,” the father shouted, but of course no-one heard him because he was a bollard. But, the man had already walked on, just like they always did. Never thinking the bollards could speak.

Talking Statues by Grace E

''I hate this so much!'' said the tallest member of my family.

''We'll be freed soon.'' I said.

''Yeah right.''

I tried to stare at my mother but my head was so frozen I was only able to move my mouth. Ever since me and my family had been frozen as statues 5 years ago I hadn't been able to move. I wondered what my family looked like now. My head had been frozen in a position in which I could only see the water fountain at the front of the massive shopping mall. I could hear my mother sigh.

Talking Statues by Jakub

The three statues of people stay there forever and gaze at pedestrians. They were talking about what these people are doing. They asked each other, "Are they making a picture of us or are they making fun of us? Who knows?"

The little one is a child and the bigger statues are his parents. You don’t know what gender they are. They asked the child, "Do you know what they might be doing?"

 "No," responded the child.

Everyday people came to look at the at these statues. Whenever anyone came to take a picture with the statues they would never say a word.

Talking statues by Scarlett

"Please can we go, I heard its really interesting?" asked mum. It was Saturday morning and they had decided to go for out in the city. Mum wanted it to be quite educational so wanted to head north to the cathedral. Dad wanted to see the local football stadium which was in the south of the city. Charlie didn’t want to go for a walk and just wanted to go back home and play on his new Xbox with his friends. As they couldn’t come to a mutual agreement, they settled on watching the world go by, still as statues.

"Sidney, Move!" shouted mum before grabbing her and running to a nearby café for shelter.

"Daddy!" screamed Sidney, kicking her legs and slapping her mother. Her father came running behind, shielding his family from harm.

"Stay away!" he implored, "What have my family ever done to you?" But it was too late, airplanes were already crowding around them, their cannons full of stone bullets. All they could do now was hug and pray. Suddenly they could hear voices starting to count down from ten, "Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one!"
Bang! They had been turned to stone.

The statues by Maddie

The family were trying to decide which restaurant they want to eat at.
"There are; Bill's around the corner, Nando's across the road but behind us there's a Pizza Express." explained the father to his wife and daughter.
A few hours passed and they still hadn't decided but eventually the daughter tried to move but noticed they were all stuck to the pavement.
"AHHH!!" shouted the parents.
They were mortified and started trying to pull themselves free but they couldn't. They realised that they'd taken too long to decide and turned in to stone statues. What a strange thing!
