I was at the Embassy Theatre with my Mum when there was a line of nearly 1000 people, all queuing up for tickets for tomorrow's One Direction concert. We were about 997th in line. Meanwhile the blonde haired little girl in front of us had just two tickets. We spoke to the man... 

"Hello two tickets to see One. Direction please,"

"Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but I'm afraid it's the last one, that one I just sold to the young girl over there." 

Me and my Mum were gutted -we felt like a piece of rubbish just waiting to be thrown in the bin...

It was a normal Saturday night for most of the world - but for the Brazil and England fans it was a night to remember, the ultimate torment. One more goal and England, or Brazil, or whoever got it won the World Cup!

 A tense, nail biting moment. What would happen... 

Wayne Rooney shot the goal for England and Brazil were not happy at all! But that's what happens in Brazil when another team wins at football. The crowd were going frantic, it was half England fans and half Brazilian fans. The Brazil football players were screaming next time and some of them were crying their eyes out.

You knew about Willie Wonka's oompa loompas, but what you never knew about Cadbury's chocka wockas! 

Yes, Cadbury has three of their very own helpers - Caramel, Cream and Dairy Milk. They are Cadbury's tasters who see if there are enough of the special things that make Cadbury chocolate so yummy! They are smaller than a creme egg - or any chocolate bar you could imagine! They help Cadbury decide every little thing; from names, tastes and spillages as shown in the picture above. The most helpful is Cream, he is the best at organising - the other two just like mucking about!

Me and my best friend Ella were running into a gateway and we saw a black dog. It was a cold day and we were worried about the poor lonely dog. One hour later we returned, and he was still there, no one had bothered to look at him or try to help him. He was still stuck in the same bush and he didn't move, he was scared you could tell by the sad look in his eyes. He was barking and did not realise that we were there to help him. We then tried to get him out.

It was the half term holidays, BUT WHERE COULD I GO? It was raining and drizzling; the weather was horrid, but what could I do…

"I wish that I had a machine that changed the weather whenever I want to whatever I wanted!" I exclaimed, so I slept on it.

The next morning, I woke up and I saw a strange device next to me! It had six buttons with pictures; a picture of a storm, a cloud, a rainbow, a snowman, the sun and a raindrop. My wish had come true! I had the power to change the weather.

Why Lucy needs to go to school by Leah

Dear United Nations General Secretary, 

I am writing to tell you about the lack of education in some parts of the world. Young women and girls need education. Lucy, a girl from South America, needs education. If she doesn't get educated she will never be able to read or write! Lucy works for her mum and has a disability (polio) in her leg. Lucy can not go to school because of this. Her disability restricts her from straightening her leg, but there are many people like Lucy who can not go to school either.

some of the words sounded like a foreign language by Leah

When I was first learning about programming computers some of the words sounded like a foreign language. It was all pixels and gigabytes, I thought it was the hardest thing in the world but it turned out to be one of the easiest things in the world! Easy- peasy lemon- squeezy I would say. I would be teaching my friends and I teach the smallest year in the school... RECEPTION! It's so much fun! At first I did think it was a bit gibberish; mega pixels and bytes and well it was just all very confusing some of it I still am puzzled now with! When young it's hard.

The Mysterious Bee Murder

 The murder of a hive famous bee (that shall not be named for legal reasons) has been confirmed. Investigators were on the deadly scene early hours yesterday and found no traces of any evidence at all, the FBI are there now double checking. Quotes from the family are below:

Mother: "I miss him so much, whoever murdered him... You should be totally ashamed of yourself."

Father: "I just can not believe my eyes, I can't believe someone would do that to my baby, it is just so unbelievable."

I had been preparing for a big sleepover party for weeks!!!! 
It was finally the day, the hour, the minute, the second.....

"Hi, so glad you are all here - head upstairs, the first room on the right. I'll get some snacks..." And when I opened the cupboard door nothing was in there.
"Hey guys get down here now it's going to be a detective mystery. There is a whole cupboard of marshmallows and delicious sweets missing. There is a trail and we need to find the thief!"
"Hey look, some marshmallows this way!" Exclaimed Ella.
The marshmallows lead in to my brothers bedroom, how didn't I know?

…but I couldn't find the egg…, by Leah

I was doing an Easter egg hunt today and there was a basket with a golden egg in it and the prize (if you find the golden egg) is a Mac book pro, I looked everywhere BUT I COULDN'T FIND THE EGG! I looked high and low, far and near - all over Tower Gardens, but I just couldn't find it! I looked through the long elegant red tulips and the beautiful sunshine yellow daffodils - it was not there! The long grass waved slowly and silently. But then finally I found it, it was hidden next to the bright blue shimmering lake. The beautiful egg was magnificent!!!!

I was baking cakes one Sunday night for my best friend Ella’s birthday which was on Monday. It was seven o'clock at night and I had finally chosen the mini chocolate chip cupcakes that will have icing and a handle with tiny marshmallows on top of the beautiful, luscious chocolaty chocolate. But I thought I had enough time to finish the cakes when the clock struck eight! 

“Leah, its time to go to bed!”

“But mum I haven’t finished Ella’s cakes yet…"

So I frosted them as quick as a flash it was currently nine o'clock and I was done!

Night Zoo Keeper by Leah

I would like to be a night zoo keeper because I am brave. I also study ju-jitsu so if I need to I can show those terrible, disgusting monsters who’s boss and help the animals along the way! I have experience in looking after animals. I will be able to fight the Nilth monsters and protect the ice jungles and floating mountains.  We MUST protect the magical zoo at all costs! I will do my very best to care for any creature no matter how big or small. I care very much - I hope you accept my full application.

“Look up! Can you see all of the beautiful stars shining high up in the sky?” I exclaimed.All of the stars were shining bright in the clear sky, they were sparkling, and it was magical. The full, bright moon glistened and sparkled, you could clearly see the stars glimmering in the distance. The stars were glittering in the dark sky. They were shimmering, twinkling, gleaming and they were sparkling! They were more than beautiful; they were gorgeous, lovely, and delightful. The moon was dazzling and shimmering in the sky in my opinion it was astonishing and very, very wonderful.

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Leah, she had an amazing Christmas last year. She had opened all her presents apart from the big one, so she picked it up and unwrapped the paper. But when she lifted the lid… there were just carrier bags and cardboard tubes.

“Oh great I got carrier bags for Christmas!”

As she rummaged through the carrier bags she found a shiny golden box…

“Yay, a box in a box!”

But little did she know it was a special box with an iPad air in it.

The Gingerbread Man by Leah #24

Once upon a time there was a cottage in the woods where two people lived. They were old and had no children. The woman baked a gingerbread man. She put it in the oven and went to see her husband in the garden. But then she heard a noise from inside the cooker.

“Help me I am burning to death in here!” It was the gingerbread man he had somehow come alive.  The gingerbread man was very happy with his family and he never wanted to leave. He loved his mother and he loved his father. They were very happy.

On a beautiful spring day gorgeous flowers were slowly pushing through the earth, like pansies and violets. They were stunning. There were sunflowers, strawflowers and also Mexican sunflowers. They were lovely and delightful. There were crimson pink roses and also there were creamy buttercups. 

Meanwhile the beautiful butterflies were soaring across the sky. It was certainly a magical experience. There were ocean blue blueberry bushes, it was amazing. I could not believe my bright blue eyes… The blossom was falling off the trees and glistening in the sunlight. It was truly amazing. The flowers bloomed and sparkled in the light.

Once in the dark gloomy forest there was a rather strange shed. It was very creepy and mysterious. It glowed in the panther black darkness and a bright light sparkled. The bricks were a rainbow colour, all multi-coloured and the dazzling light shone. It was as if it was as bright as the sun. The trees around it were towering above me, I felt as tiny as a mouse, and people were following the light. It must have had some impact on the human brain, there were red ropes but people didn't care. I was wondering what it led to......

Meetings were held across the county to find an answer to what the parliament could do to help people who have got flooded. So I and my friends thought of some ideas…

“Maybe the parliament could donate money to the people that got flooded,” said my friend Ella.

“Or the British army could bring lots of sand bags to people that are flooded,” said Lettia.

Then I suggested my opinion: “Possibly the parliament, royal family or the government pay for new houses for the residents and citizens that have had floods recently!”

“Well done girls this flooding is a major issue and you girls came up with some good solutions…”

Leah #20

With my loving happy family I went to the deep, in Hull, we had an exiting time. We saw carp; goldfish; salmon;  the catfish; sting ray; sharks and dolphins. But this one tank had no fish in it, it was strange. All in separate tanks, but all we could see was water in one tank no fish, no coral, no nothing! Apart from water, I was the first one to see the lifeless tank, it was eerie and very strange indeed……

“Hey mum, look at this it’s a tank with no fish, come quick!” I screamed at my mum!

“I’m coming, what is the big fuss?”

Tomorrow is my birthday, I wanted a light blue and pink bicycle but when I woke up in the morning there were no presents! I looked everywhere; in the garage, under my bed, in the living room, but still no presents…

“This must be a grand mistake!” I screamed as I jumped up and down.

“Oh look harder,” Dad said to me.

The one place I had not looked the attic…

“Look at that big box!” I exclaimed

I ripped it open; it was a baby gorilla.

“You tricked me,” I laughed.

“Dad I have two questions, where’s my bike? … And where’s my baby gorilla?”
