"Right. Time to do a 100 word challenge. Here goes:"
Jo. ,u ms,r od Tjosmms. jrjr. Eju od yjod mpy eptlomh?
"Mum! The typewriter won't work!"
"Was that your brother again?"
"I don't know! I type H and it comes out as J!"
"H and J are next to each other, aren't they?"
"Yes, they are."
"Type one before the letter you want to type."
"Okay!"
And I thought 'Well what a start'. Can you decode the message I wrote? I'll give you a clue, it's one character after the one I wanted to type on the standard keyboard.

...and I thought, 'Well what a start... by William
"Beep, Beep" went my alarm. I turned to slam the
button down before rolling over and going back to sleep. Suddenly, I remembered
it's the first day back to school. I excitedly put my uniform on and skipped
downstairs to have my breakfast. Afterwards, I nervously took my first steps
outside, as this was the first day I was allowed to walk to school on my own. I
walked happily down the street being very aware of every car and person around
me, but feeling very grown-up too. As I walked into the school gates, I stopped
and I thought, "well what a start can't wait for yr6."

I was so excited! That morning was my first day of year six
and everything was new. New teachers, new classroom, and a couple of new lessons.
When I got to school and saw the crowded corridors, I thought, “Well what a
start!” I went into my new classroom and put my snack, book and pocket tissues
in my tray. I put my lunchbox in the trolley and my water bottle in the basket.
Then it was time for lessons, first we had service. Next we were going to be
put into groups for Maths and English. I couldn’t wait!

...and I thought, 'Well what a start... by Isabelle
The start of the summer holidays here I come. I can't
believe school has finished already - I mean how quick has that gone?
Anyway the start of the summer holidays didn't go quite as I
had planned. I was in the park with my friends when something terrible
happened. I was climbing a tree when one of my friends stood on my hand and I
fell to the ground. Turns out I broke the same bones in both legs and I
thought, 'Well what a start!' I was so gutted. I couldn't dance or ice skate or
do anything. WHY!

...and I thought, 'Well what a start... by Tyler W
Beep, beep, beep, the alarm clock begins its weekly schedule after a lovely six weeks off, and as usual a big yawn follows the sleep button. “Timmy!” bellows Mrs. Hip, “Time to get ready for school have your breakfast and Timmy are you up?”
Timmy being mischievous as usual sneaks out of bed and gets ready for school. Creeping down the stairs he didn’t see the cat, Crash, Bang and Wallop. Observing this as a little mouse I laughed and I thought, 'Well what a start, his day is going to be great. What will happen to him at school?'
