Me
and my best friend, Bob, were walking down Red Street when we found a ladder
that led down to the sewer. Bob decided that it was a good idea to go down and
have a look. That was the last terrible idea he ever had. I refused to go down
there so he called me a chicken. I just rolled my eyes and sat down on the
pavement. "Hey, there's lots of coins down here!" He exclaimed
excitedly. But, as soon as he stepped down on the ground, he began sinking, until
he completely disappeared. It was so scary!

RED LADDER SINKING COINS PAVEMENT by George
Strolling
along the red pavement, I spotted a huge ladder. The ladder didn’t seem normal,
it was gold with a zig zag pattern and seemed to go on for ever. I was so intrigued that I decided to tip-toe
over to it and climb right to the top. Eventually, I reached a halt, a huge
platform stood before me. I leaped onto it and suddenly began sinking. Seconds
later, I found myself at the bottom of the ladder. There was a bag of coins on
the ladder which I carried in my bag. I found out that they were extremely valuable.

As the fiery red sun was setting and I started to see
the crescent moon, I wanted to get a better view of what was in the fountain...
I jumped in. I could see coins on the mossy floor they looked rusted and old; one-pence
and two-pence coins were all that were there. I started sinking - I
had never learnt how to swim.
“Help!” I screamed no longer seeing the pavement or
ladder that was leading up to the roof of a house.
“Help” I screamed again but no one came.
What was I going to do?

On
a frosty winter's day, I was in my delightful house eating my boiling, silky
porridge until I heard a thud.... The thud was like an elephant crashing down
on the rubbly and uneven pavement. I swiftly ran outside (I was melancholy)
suddenly humongous sinking holes started to appear sucking up anything in their
paths.
Minutes
later, it could suck up a ruby-red fire truck with a 15-metre ladder on top. I
had my heart in my mouth, my coins in my pocket started to get pulled to the
ground and a minute later I was on it...

I
opened my dull eyes to a new boring day, whilst awaking my body to get changed
for work. I took my red ladder – which cost me ten silver coins – and started
my journey. On my travels to my work place, I spotted a construction site. I
wondered what it was there for - since I have never seen any problems with the
area. Leaning closer, I saw newly planted cement (sinking) into the pavement,
that’s when I realized, they were building a new block of houses! Anyway, I
carried along and headed straight to my work.

One
lonely old man. Sitting on the cold, wet pavement. No food to eat, his appetite
was growing. There was nothing he could do. People walked past and threw a few
bronze coins, they thought that when they give only a little amount of coins it
won’t really help but the person on the floor feels great. Soon he will have
enough shiny brown coins. It was like a ladder to a place he had always dreamed
of. Many people feel bad, like the group of people that walked past, their
hearts were sinking into a red swirl of misery.

As
my friend and I were talking, sat on a red blanket in the back garden, my dad
was trying to stop his ladder sinking into the grass so he could clean the
windows. After a while we heard something drop near us and we both looked round
to see what it could be, then it happened again and again but this time it
was louder as it fell onto the pavement next to us. We then realised dad had a
hole in his pocket and every time he moved up the ladder, coins were falling
out of his pocket.

People
say that they know a guy who collects coins and if you find all four of the
power coins you are rich. Well I found them all!
I found one on the pavement and it was red.
The next one was on a roof, so I had to get a ladder to reach it. The next one
was sinking in cement, so I had a cemented arm. The last one was in a gambling place,
so I had to win it, but it was too easy.
So,
now I'm rich - I can buy anything I want like buildings or cars.

It
was an ordinary day and it was very sunny too. I went up town. I wore my favourite
red shirt and blue jeans. Off I went. I saw an ice-cream shop so obviously, I
had one. While I was walking over, I found a pile of coins on the ground just
lying there. I picked them up. I had the best ice-cream ever (well in my
opinion). I walked over to chairs. I saw that a girl had dropped hers, it was
sinking into the pavement. I went home. Mum wanted me to go up the ladder and
“whoops!!!!!!!”

As
I laid in my bed, I could hear my aggravating mum shouting me to get up. I just
ignored her as usual. I couldn’t stop thinking about the dream I had on
Saturday night, it was rather peculiar. It included me wearing a red dress
trying to walk down the pavement but all I was doing was sinking. I soon
realised my pockets were full of coins. Ahead, I could see a ladder, I knew I
had to get to it to climb out. I reached the ladder, that’s when I heard mum
shouting me to get up!

In
a large boat, a boy called William, was on the sea looking for some treasure.
He started jumping with happiness and suddenly his precious coins fell out of
his pocket. He didn’t realise it until they made a big splash in the sea and
started sinking down to the bottom. On the top of the boat, was a big red
ladder just in case anything bad happened. William took it out and looked down
for his golden coins. When he got to the bottom, he thought that the sand was a
long pavement. He picked his coins up and headed home.
RED LADDER SINKING COINS PAVEMENT by Harley
Today
was the day when a red ladder was sinking in the pavement because of the golden
coins.
Getting up out of my bed I travelled down Lumley Road to see what the
golden coins had destroyed. Looking around for disaster, nothing unusual was to
be seen by me and all the nearby people. In the distance I spotted a red ladder
slowly sinking into the pavement. I ran over to see what was happening (it was
very unusual). The ladder was 4m deep into the ground and had seconds before
it would disappear. The ladder was now gone forever...
