I can't believe
it's Christmas Eve. Everybody is having fun and the Christmas tree lights are
shining bright. Christmas carols are being sung while others get ready for
Santa. Families come home and strangers make new friends. The last door on your
advent calendar has now been opened, now it's time for Santa. As the excitement
builds snow starts to fall. Candles are lit and fires are blown out. Mince pies
are put in the oven and the Christmas cake is being iced - it had to be done by
Christmas Day but they were exhausted...

…but what if I was in charge?… by Jessica
3,2,1. I turned around to Sarah and we had landed in a
classroom full of sweet little innocent children. They just looked at us as if
they had no idea what was going on just like us. Sarah whispered to me, “It
looks like they don't have a teacher.”
I replied, “But what
if I was in charge? I wouldn't be able to cope. So,” I questioned, why don't
you be the teacher?”
We both had no
chance! 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.
BOOM! The teacher came back and there's no one in the
classroom!

...we were moving very fast... by Jessica
On Sunday afternoon, it was swim training. We were moving very fast when we did the rapid relay races in the pool. We had to put in a lot of hard work in these sets. The speed makes a massive difference to us when we do this set because we must get our pulse rates up and the faster we go the better results we will get out of the amazing competitions. After 4 speedy lengths, I stopped to take my pulse rate and it had increased significantly. When it came to swim down, my pulse had to decrease. After a hard set, my legs and arms were aching.

The Hand by Jessica
I was walking slowly through town not thinking about anyone
only thinking about what to do next. I glanced and saw a funny looking creature
- well I didn't know if it was a creature. I saw it in the corner of my eye. It
looked strange, it was a hand with finger and a mouth, ears, eyes and nose.
What was it doing there I said to myself? I did not have a clue. Where did it
come from? I had far too many questions popping through my busy mind, I did not
know what to think of it.

…the tiger was blocking our escape…by Jessica
One sunny Saturday morning, as a family we decided to go on a family trip so we went to Woburn Safari Park. You go around in your car but if you want you can get out to look closer. We went round and we looked at loads of different animals like lions, elephants, zebras, giraffe and monkeys. Finally, we got round to the tigers and we got out of the car to get a close look and then we wanted to go and look at a different creature so we got back in the car but the the tiger was blocking our escape.

However Yellow Gingerly Discovered Remarkable, by Jessica
Jumping up and down is absolutely remarkable; however you can’t jump up and down for long. I discovered that last week on my 9th birthday. I was up at bang on 4:31. My parents were asleep snoring so loud you could hear them from outside the house. I jumped up and down hoping that they would wake up after hearing the intense noise. I jumped and jumped thinking I could go on and on forever. I soon was down on the yellow carpet panting. My brother sat down on the ancient armchair gingerly. He probably thought I was absolutely crazy.

Greetings humans of Earth, before I was sent up here I noticed how much bullying was going on. I have been sent on an urgent mission to stop it. I can not leave until I have completed this mission so that is why I have come here earlier than I should have by approximately twelve years. I have nearly completed this mission without you noticing yet. Tomorrow I will be gone because I will have finished my mission. You see, I work at night as well to get the job done even quicker. You will no longer see me again.

I could see my friends in the distance but where were they going? I realised that I had collapsed on the concrete floor. I felt someone lift me up from behind. I turned my head and saw my mother. "Are you alright?" she asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." She looked rather worried but I wasn't surprised. When I woke up I found myself in an armchair with the TV still on. All I wanted was a lovely hot cup of tea with a slice of chocolate cake with icing. I called my mum and that was exactly what she gave me.

Stairs to the sky by Jessica
I was just checking that I had brought everything. I looked
at my watch and I was running late.
I opened the door and there in front of me
was golden steps with beautiful flowers. I stood there amazed but then I knew
that this was a lot better than my holiday. Quickly, I ran up the stairs and it
seemed to go on for ever but every time I went up a step it made a tune. Finally,
I reached the top and it lead me to the plane and I never knew if it was just a
dream.

…when the connection broke… by Jessica
I was reading with my light plugged in and then all of a sudden, when the connection broke it was pitch black. I felt a sudden shiver run through my body and I knew instantly that I was now terrified. I picked the plug up and put it back in the socket. The bright light came back on and I carried on reading ‘Gangsta Granny’ By David Walliams. I was on the part where they were going to steal the beautiful crown jewels. It was the hardest thing for a robber to rob. I can't believe that the granny dies!

...as I joined the queue... by Jessica
Today is Friday. I woke up in a dark but warm room and did
not want to get up as I was nice and cosy. My mother yelled “Get up Jessica! Or
you will be late for school!” I painstakingly dragged myself out of bed. Had my
breakfast and made my own packed lunch. I stepped outside and nearly froze to
death as it was like minus one hundred degrees! I got to school and felt like
ice as I joined the queue to get into the school. Luckily it was not a long
queue and I was able to get my reading book out.

my head really ached by Jessica
This might possibly be the worst day of my life because yesterday I was
jumping on the trampoline and all of a sudden I fell off with an enormous
CRASH! My head felt like it was going to split but luckily it never did, and
that is why my head really ached. I am still in this hospital that gives you
the worst food ever! The only good things that they give you are a permission
slip to skip school and the drinks are really good as well. So I don't really
mind staying at a hospital after all.
It was too high by Jessica
I woke up
and I found myself locked up in a prison, the dark prison was enormous. After I
found out that there was a lock but I couldn't find the key. Then in the corner
of my eye I saw a cupboard and on top there it was a shiny, golden key. I tried
to reach it but it was too high and in the end I spotted a long stick and
immediately I picked it up and tried to reach the key. It worked but then I
noticed that it was my sister who locked me up.
the cold had got right into my bones when... by Jessica
I got out
of my bed and knew instantly that I forgot to put my cover on since I was
freezing, the cold had got right into my bones when suddenly someone came in
and put the cover on me. I knew straight away that it would've been my mum
since she always would worry about my health. I woke up to see if I was right
and I was right. She was staring down at me and said, "You should always
remember to put your cover on." Then she stormed out of my room and
slammed the door.

The enormous sheep! By Jessica
We just finished shopping in Tesco and I
bought some of my favorite treats which were mainly things like crisps and
chocolates. So me and my dad just went to go and put all my treats and the
other stuff into the car. We parked our car near the sea but when we got there
I noticed that there was a very large inflatable and it was a sheep. At first I
was really scared but then my dad explained that his work friends put it there
and they parked there on purpose so that I could see the sheep.

I had just finished my dinner so I was very full but I didn't eat more than my little brother. I was very surprised at this and thought to myself. How could something so tiny eat so much? He isn't even fat yet, I can not believe that my strange family can eat a whole lot but not get full and I can't. Anyway I think I need to sleep and when I wake up the dessert should be ready. I think that by the time I get down all the ice cream will be gone anyway.

Jessica: It felt like
I was walking down the street till
I saw a mysterious beast in the distance. I walked closer and closer to it.
Then I looked behind to see if anyone was there then all of a sudden BUMP! I
bashed into the beast it felt like a big,fluffy animal. Then it looked at me
rather angrily then smiled. I smiled back at him and didn't think he was scary
at all I thought that he was a friendly beast. After he said something he said,
"Hello look at this."
He showed me a picture of him
smartly dressed.

Jessica - the noise
Last night I saw an enormous helicopter that was making a rather large sound then in the middle of the noise there was a long ladder coming down. Then they told me to climb onto the ladder. So I asked them why but they didn't answer. I decided to climb the ladder but I slipped and I hurt my leg so I couldn't get up then a person came down the ladder and it turns out it was my Dad. After he explained that it was his new job. Apparently he wanted to give me a fun ride.
