Once upon a time in a land far, far away there lived a woman. The woman was a child minder and looked after thirty-two children for a living. The children were all different shapes, sizes and ages. The lady in fact happened to live in an enormous mansion. 

One day the valiant woman took all thirty-two of the children on a road trip. They met a man selling haribo fangtastics! Everyone wanted one so she bought some.

“"…but ‘I'm afraid it’s the last one," he said handing the last one out. The children were devastated as only thirty of them got one. What was she going to do now…?

I was watching the World Cup minding my own business when Usain Bolt strolled onto the pitch at half time. The crowd went wild! People were jumping out of their seats and screaming. It was manic. Wow the crowd were going absolutely wild, but that's what happens in Brazil when the queen goes to Brazil or something. They cheered more for Usain than the queen. I was flabbergasted! It was the end of half time and they started playing again, it turned out that Usain was playing as well. That made the crowd go even wilder. It was so loud! I don't blame them he is cool.

Yes! Finally I get to watch my favourite TV show; Kicking Kyle.

"Uh uh uh, not so fast. Have you done your homework?" My mum asked standing right in the middle of the TV. I hate it when my mum does that. 

"Yes mum if course," I lied.

"Go and get it then," she said with a stern look on her face. Whilst my mum thought I was going to get my homework, I took that opportunity to do my homework. Nooo I thought to myself. Dara dropped a cream egg and all my action figures were in it. NOOOO!?

As I was running to school, through the gateway my friend asked me for a phone case to use. I looked at her bizarre because, we were almost late for school.

After school we stopped at the phone store. 

"Do you..." Lacy stopped mid-sentence, a man barged right in front of her.

"Can I have a cool football case?" The man asked.

"Excuse me?" Lacy asked the old man. The man turned round smiling, with a sophisticated black case in his wrinkled hand.

"Dad! How did you know I wanted this?" Lacy asked. Lacy's dad tapped his nose then disappeared...

"Sarah! I have something for you!" my mum called. I quickly raced down the stairs and into the kitchen, to meet my mum.

"Here is 100 pounds to spend on whatever you want," she exclaimed. My eyes widened as I saw the money flapping about in my mum's hand. 

"Wow," I thought to myself. 

"You can go anywhere you want," my mum said. 

"But where could I go?” I asked myself. There was so much to choose from. Shall I go to 'New Look', 'Select'? I decided to go out with my friends to a theme park.

I didn't know my mum was that generous!

Why Lucy needs to go to school by Romola

Dear World Leaders,

I think Lucy should go to school because it would be a great opportunity for her. She must feel left out when all her friends and brothers are at school. She would be able to learn new things and then someday she might be able to accomplish her dream of becoming a doctor or a teacher. She shouldn't be left out because she has a disability. Here we are very lucky to have the facilities to get and be in school. Unfortunately Lucy doesn't. Lucy deserves to go to school, she would appreciate it if she did.

My friend called me. I do love Lizzy but she is a chatter. "Hey Sarah!" She giggled.

 "Hi Lizzy," I giggled back. It was her first day of secondary school with her new teacher.

 "So Mrs Macoy asked me a question when I wasn't listening, I'm telling the truth, some of the words sounded like a foreign language. So I looked around the classroom just in case she was talking to someone else, then I noticed a big sign behind her saying Spanish. Then I realised she was speaking a foreign language. It was so embarrassing. Everyone laughed at me. What a way to start secondary school!"

Today is the anniversary of finding the new species of a bee. The 10th of April 2010 was a special day. I am proud to say that I am the cousin of the scientist who found the fairly giant bee.

It was three o'clock in the afternoon and I was just settling to watch a good movie, when BREAKING NEWS appeared on my TV. I quickly put BBC news on to see what was going on. My cousin Timothy was in a white one piece suit. The press were there taking photos of the amazing bee. I was so proud!...

At seven o'clock in the morning, Leigh-Ann drifted wearily down the stairs. The 17 year old's parents left a note saying exactly this; Dear Leigh-Ann, please make sure your brother gets to school safely. 
There was milk in the refrigerator and when I opened the cupboard door there was some cereal. We had to leave early to get to London in time for my interview. See you soon love mum and dad. Her parents had not left any money. Leigh-Ann went and got Oliver, her 4 year old brother and nipped out to the shop. Oliver got to school safely, but Leigh-Ann was almost late for school...

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was Easter, and I had five yummy Easter eggs. Me and my twin sister Jessie always have a little challenge every Easter. This year we had to hide a chocolate mini egg in the house. If I didn't find the egg, Jessie would get my five yummy Easter eggs, but if Jessie couldn't find the egg I would get her five Easter eggs. So we started the challenge, Jessie found her egg straight away, but when it was my turn it took me a while. No one had ever won any of the challenges. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find the egg...

Romola - But I thought I had enough time

Dear Diary,
Guess what happened today? Lucy and I went dress shopping for a prom dress. Lucy spotted a dress she liked so she went to try it on. I told her we needed to start to walk back to school but she insisted that she try it on. Finally she finished and it was almost 1:15 so we raced back to school. By the time we got to school it was 1:30. We were late for class and I got an F. Her excuse was but I thought I had enough time, seriously. I was so mad at her.

Night Zoo Keeper, by Romola

Dear night zoo keeper,

I am writing to you to ask you if I can apply for the night zoo keeper. I heard that the poor animals are being attacked by the monsters from land of Nilth. I am an animal lover and I can't bear to hear the reports of what's been happening to them.

I would like to apply because it be my first proper job and I may be able to help stop the monsters from attacking the zoo animals. Caring for magical animals is one of my hobbies. Thank you for your time.

"Good afternoon children!" Said the head teacher Mrs Young.
"Good afternoon Mrs Young," said the school children tiredly.
"Today each one of you children will get an Easter egg decorator kit. Seeing as it is nearly Easter. The person who-" Mrs Young got rudely interrupted by the commotion in the hallway.
"But I'm telling you I definitely saw it!" Whined the mysterious voice.
"You are just seeing things, you stupid weirdo!" Squealed the second voice. The whole room filled with a gasp from the children.
"Look up! Can you see!" Said the first voice.
"Oh yeah. Sorry everyone nothing to see here. Sorry,"
"Embarrassing!"

Smiling, Jasmine skipped to the car.

"So Jasmine what kind of pet do you want?" asked Mrs Finsen.

"I want...a...fish!" squealed Jasmine excitedly.

Now that Jasmine was seven her mum promised her a pet. It seemed like forever, but Jasmine finally arrived at the pet shop. At the end of looking, Jasmine found a gold fish. 

"There you go honey," said the pet shop owner calmly putting the fish food into a bag.

Jasmine took the fish home and was going to feed it for the first time, but when she lifted the lid the food jumped out of the pot and into the fish's mouth.

Cinderella by Romola #24

Once upon a time there lived a sweet girl named Cinderella. Her mum had died, so her dad remarried. Soon after she moved in with her step family, her dad died. Her new family were mean, so they made her be their maid. 

One day the family got an invitation to the royal ball. Cinderella wasn't allowed to go because she had to clean the house. When the evil step family left for the ball, Cinderella decided to go to the ball. She turned up in her raggy clothes. Her step family were so embarrassed they left the ball early.

"Mum help what is outside?" I screeched charging into the street. 

"What did you say sweetie?" my mum called yawning.

"Quick we don't have time!" I replied. By that point the disaster was already pushing through the earth. I noticed my mum was half asleep so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I quickly grabbed my extreme magnet and pulled the disaster out of the ground. Nearly the whole street watching me do my magic. Suddenly they started to shout, "Penny, Penny!" over and over again. I thought something was wrong, I'd had another crazy dream.

"For this Halloween we should tell ghost stories!" screamed Lily.

"Good i-deeaaa!" squealed Jenny.

"Chloe you tell the best ghost stories, so you can go first!" said Lily.

"One dark and Mysterious Halloween evening, George the joker was giving out sweets. Whenever children reached in to get some sweets, a hand grabbed them and they ran away screaming. But one person was not scared and said, "I will get you," George went for a walk in the forest. A bright light coming from a house intrigued him, he wandered in, but was never seen again."

"That was really scary!"

"Muhahahaha!"

At about 5am, I heard a large shriek. I imagined it was my sister, so I ignored it and put my pillow over my head. 

“Taylor ! Get up come! Quick!”

“Be quiet Willow, go to sleep!” By that moment I felt that something actually was wrong, but I didn't believe myself and tried to go back to sleep. Just as I settled down my sister started again.

“Taylor come now before it goes it’s beautiful!”

I’d had enough, I pottered down the stairs to Willow, and looked at what she was looking at, but all I could see was water dripping down the windows.

One day, on my way to school, I spotted a pink gorilla. I was startled because not only was it pink but it was playing a grand piano really well. Then surprisingly it started talking it said "well hello there what's your name young lady!"

"Hello mister my name is Rose!" I replied.

"Well then Rose today is your lucky day 'cause I'm gonna sing you a song!" The gorilla started to sing a song all about me. The song that the gorilla sung was funny, and I laughed so hard I almost bumped into a man riding a bicycle...

As I walked past the beautiful house, that had been abandoned for two years, I noticed that there was a pair of new pink pumps, that still had the tag on and had never been worn. Of course being myself I was curious. So after school instead of staying back for homework club I went straight to the house. I got to the door, luckily the door was unlocked, so I creaked the door open. As I opened the door I heard someone say hello, I looked up, down and around but no one was there it was a mystery...
