Why Lucy needs to go to school by Millie O

Dear World leaders,
Recently I read a story about a girl called Lucy age 11 who is unable to attend school. I feel this is such a shame especially in this day and age. Lucy has a disability but this shouldn’t stop any child having an education. Her Mother is unable to take Lucy to school as Lucy needs to be carried, is there no way the government or local authorities could raise money to provide transport and a wheelchair this would give her some independence and get her into education that every child deserves.
Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
Millie O

Night Zoo Keeper by Millie O

I would love to be a zookeeper because I love to explore the nature and the environment also I would certainly love to help magical animals from their evil and wicked enemies. If you think about all the beautiful animals in danger we need to save them. I think I would make a brilliant job at saving animals and caring for them. I will watch the zoo gates at all times I will not be distracted by anything. I love animals and I do not want them to be scared and suffer. I will always love magical and beautiful animals.

Millie O 100WC #18

One misty morning, I woke up and I looked through my bedroom window, It was icy and snowing but there was one mystery! Mum told me not to go out there because it may be dangerous ! But I didn't listen knowing me, I rang my friend Rebecca up and she came right away. We ran down a narrow cross road and finally staring at us was the filthy, decrepit shed. It stood there like a lonely man, of course we didn't fall for that. Later on that day me and Rebecca went to investigate. Suddenly we heard a big noisy bang.

The crystal mirror by Millie O 100WC#15

Once there lived a mother and daughter who always fell out and one night they were snug in their beds and……they heard a roaring sound and quickly ran to the window to see what it was but couldn’t see anything so they went in the dark and when they got closer trapped!!!!!!!”This is your entire fault” Emily/daughter shouted.

“Well I’m sorry” snarled mum “it’s not my fault”. So they agreed that it wasn’t their fault and found a way out and when they got home the realised that if they work together they can do anything together.

Millie O - Letter in a bottle

To whoever reads my message,
Here in England I watched the news and discovered the devastation of the typhoon that came in to your country and made life change. My heart sank as I imagined the pain that you’re feeling. Not only losing your home and belongings but the tragedy of losing loved ones. I feel really sorry for those who died and suffered. I'm sending love and hope to give each and every one of you to give you the courage to keep smiling and stay strong. Help is coming your way never give up.

I'm thinking of you.

Millie O #11 Remembering

Swaying poppies make us remember the time the soldiers were fighting for their life time. The people who died by guns, cannons and also bombs. The red represents the blood and the black represents the bullet wound. Everyday poppy day I remember the time of my Nan and me because my Nanny Mavis who used to be in the World War 1 and 2. The kind generous people who were willing to fight in the army. The memory of the army and blood and people who fought in the places and didn't die. That’s what we remember on that day.

Millie O 100 Word Challenge #10

Rushing down to the mossy lakes hoping I would be able to feed them, I saw something strange and peculiar it was a pair of legs but I didn't know whether it was a trick or real, I was worried. After that I phoned my mum saying " You need to come to the lake because I have seen some thing very strange!"
Later that day I thought of an idea I will go up to the lake and see whether they are real. So that is what I did and in the end it was all a TRICK !

Millie O 100 Word Challenge #9

One early morning I woke up after having a tremendous night it was thundering and lightning like it never had before. It was banging and crashing I was petrified. Later on that day it got perilous and lost control. Suddenly the wind turned in to a massive hurricane. The lightning struck! Everyone was terrified you could tell by the look on their faces. Finally I went to sleep and CRASH the tree had fell down and I nearly got blown away. In the end the violent storm calmed down it was so close that the house didn't blow down, phew!
