The Secret Door by Zuzanna

As I walked in the room, I felt a strange feeling in my stomach. I felt like I was being hypnotised or something. My heart pounded as if it was about to fall out of me. I looked around carefully until I saw a strange opening in a bookshelf it looked like the bookshelf had a secret door. I walked towards it very slowly like I was a very secretive spy. As I touched it with my sweaty palm full of nerves, a random door came out of nowhere. I looked inside the room and the room was unbelievable what I...

The Theatre by Kaitlin

It was in the 1900’s and a new, amazing theatre had just been built. It had everything a theatre needs; brilliant shows, chocolate, sweets\candy. It was so good! They had shows for children and adults all year.
Hopelessly, a gorgeous glass candelilla stared down at the people passing beneath. To the right of the entrance there was an awesome candy bar. It had every candy you could think of; lollypops, chocolate, hokey pokeys (ice cream) and lots more goodies. Detailed stairs led up towards the unbelievable room were the magic happens! Who knows what magic will happen in there next?

The Mansion by Roxanne

“Hello?” echoed a young-boy’s squeaky voice throughout the abandoned walls of the mansion. “Is anybody in here?” he asked again.
He received no answer and decided to look around for his missing ball (that had smashed through the house’s misty windows). He found a candy stall – but was disappointed when he found out it was empty...
The chequered floor was like an illusion to him, as if each pattern got bigger... and bigger...
Finally, he had found his ball! He dashed out of the mansion and was thankful for leaving the creepy, torn state that it was in.

The Museum by Madi

Museums are normal, right? They had: cool objects, pictures, information, normal things. Well, this was no ordinary museum... It seemed to be haunted!

This is my story:

Whistling birds were out, the sun was shining and myself, and my friend [Jackie] were on our mountain bikes, zooming through the forest. It was at that very moment - that still creeps us out to this day - that a shock made Jackie nearly faint. [She looked terrified!] I don’t really want to describe it to you but one thing, don’t go inside it; you may just shock yourself and pass out!

What is this place? by Lilly-Ella

“What is this place?" Ally said as she curiously walked around the huge room with a blank expression on her face.
“Maybe it was a cinema because of the sweet bar,” Janita questioned - looking around the weird place, “Cinemas always have one of them," she added.
“Perhaps it was dance studio because of the style of the place?” Oliver said, “Or, maybe it is where someone lived?”
“Yes!” Ally and Janita both shouted at exactly the same time.
“That explains all of the light that are on," Janita said happily.
“It explains the noises as well,” Ally stated.

The Theatre by Faith

After tying my lace, I rushed to catch up to the rest of the group, I pushed open a heavy door, when all of a sudden, I realised I had opened the wrong one! The room I entered was like I had stepped back in time, it must have been the original part of the theatre, it had an old candy bar, a magnificent grand staircase, huge arched windows and a massive chandelier. As I stood admiring, imagining what it would have been like the door opened….

“There you are, come on in the show’s about to start” my teacher said.

The abandoned museum by Joshua

When I was taking a stroll through the pitch-black streets (on a casual Friday night) something caught my humongous eye. It was a mossy, abandoned museum in the city’s park, I had never seen it before. I decided to explore. When I arrived at the ancient door, I tried the handle, it was locked. I kicked the door with such force it sprung open. Once inside, I spotted the enormous, silky cobwebs hanging from the unstable ceiling. There was broken stained-glass littering the floor which meant I had to watch my step, I had never seen anything like it.

The Cinema by Jessica

After a busy day working long hours in the old, brick walled cinema I stood at the bottom of the chocolate stairs and stared at the dusty glass chandelier. All I could think of was getting home into my pyjamas and laying in my bed watching tv with a hot chocolate. I could smell the delicious scent of the candy bar, as I stood gormlessly staring at the chandelier. As I sighed with relief that my shift was over for the night, I got my bag, switched off all the lights, locked the door and started to walk home.

The Museum by Harley

Waking up in a dark museum, I heard noises coming from on top of the roof which sounded like things I’d never heard before. I looked up as slow as a slug and saw some sort of creature moving through the cracks of the wooden roof. The noises were getting deeper sounding by every second and closer by every minute. My heart was beating as fast as anything now and I was extremely scared. Suddenly, something tapped me on the back with its claws and I fainted instantly.
I woke up that same day knowing that it was a dog.

The abandoned school by Bradley

The stair case of beige and orange, stood vertically, leading to what looked like a library (on the next floor).
The home of the staircase was a badly treated, abandoned school. This school was once a home for hundreds of joyful pupils. Until this happened...
Bang! A fire had started in the cafeteria and was rapidly spreading across the school! This incident took place on a regular day of school for the children. Teachers were crying for help - all doors were locked due to the earlier lockdown practice - and children of old and young struggled to escape, hopefully not burning themselves...

New Job by Tom A

I got a new job last week in a candy bar at a train station. It was a very old train station; 50 years old. As soon as I began to work there, I could tell that something just wasn't right. There were rumours that the original owner (who died in 1979) haunts the corridors. But they're just rumours, right? It wasn't until this 7-year-old girl bought some candy last week, that I thought the rumours were true. She disappeared down the corridor and out of sight. Suddenly, I heard her scream. And then, I saw the figure....
