The trees fight back by Daisy

The forest near our house had been there for a long time. Some of the trees are believed to be up to a 100 years old! The local newspaper was had reported that some of the trees were to be cut down, to make room for the new café…
A young boy was giving out flyers of what the new café would look like. In the night, one of the flyers stuck onto a tree. Suddenly an army of wood figures were guarding the old trees. Now no one dare touch them. All of the people there ran swiftly back home, ahhh!

Twig Men by Maddie

One late afternoon, the twig men chief screamed at the top of his voice to his followers, "We are under attack!"
The chief and his team ran to the battle field to fight the enemy. The enemy were branches that had fallen off the trees; they liked to eat anything in their sight. The twig men knew it was going to be hard but they were never going to give up. They fought for what seemed hours; punching, kicking and doing ninja moves. In the end all that was left on the field was a huge pile of twigs.

Trees by Lexi

"It's coming!" barked Dan, heroically grabbing his children and running off into the distance. Screams of horror echoed throughout the world. All humans had now disappeared, and every man-made thing had crumbled into a pile of rubble. All that was left on the earth was trees. But what could they do, sit around and wait to be destroyed? No! They would run too. One by one, they ripped their roots out of the earth and sprinted past thorns and nettles, their slender bodies aching with pain. "Snap! Crack!" They were death's prey. The end was in sight, or was it?

The Invasion by Tyler S

They are here to take over the world. They're going to kill every creature in sight. They are vicious pieces of wood that have finally pulled themselves free from the thick trees. The only way they can be stopped is by being lit on fire. They seem to know a unique type of combat and are preparing themselves in the forest. Nobody is aware of the small army of ruthless Stickmen coming from revenge. They have been alerted by the smaller broken twigs which are scattered across the park with only humans to blame. The battle is about to commence....

Time Travel by Ben

This photo shows the ancient people of the stone age era which is over millions of years ago, no one really knows what happened but were about to find out today because I have been selected to test the new time machine that some very smart people made.

3 2 1 BLAST

I was away in the space time continuum.
There was a little window and out of it I saw lots of people but they looked like that they were in the past.
Clunk!
I landed the door opened and I saw aliens attacking the people and loud screaming!

The War by Olivia W

The story begins when Clare heard the news about a war. She didn’t know what war meant since she was only 4 years old.
"Tomorrow there is a war," announced Clare.
"Why?" questioned Grace.
"How am I to know?"
"Well I thought you would know!"
"What does war mean exactly?"
"Skip that and let's go investigate!!!"

They went to investigate the situation about the war, as they went on they saw a forest, as they went further they saw trees having a war, they laughed at the trees. The longer they stayed the more attached to the trees they became....

In the forest by Ella

In the forest there are many strange things, people sometimes disappear. The trees make faces and move behind your back. The leaves scuttle around your feet without the wind. The vines grab your feet and pull you down, trying to take you under the ground. But whatever you do, don't call for help. The noise angers the trees, they turn into warriors and frighten you deeper into the forest. Branches, twisted into fingers, claw at your skin. You end up with cuts and bruises that never heal. As you flee in terror, you start to notice the tree warriors surrounding you.

Tree-athletes by Grace B

I came to a sudden stop, in front of me there were seven ugly looking trees, all with their own unique sense of wonderful style. These mysterious looking trees came from the 2014 winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. These sweating athletes are training for the 2018 winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. These people are in a determined but very unbearable mood because they want to do well in the sports that the seven compete in. These athletes are in a calm training boot camp in North Cumbria. With the specialist help they need these Paralympians can achieve their dreams.

A walk in the woods by Kiera

It was a calm but dull morning I decided to take my dogs for a walk to the woods to play a game of fetch. Accidentally I threw the ball deeper into the woods and they both ran in after the ball. I slowly walked after them because I felt like someone or even something was watching me! Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a group of 9 or 10 stick men looking angrily at me. I ran out of the woods as fast as I could. Where and why they were there I had no clue but I was so scared.

The Tree-men by Jakub

These tree-men were made by an artist. All the creatures were made of twigs, leaves, thorns and nuts. The creator of the tree-men did not know that they were magical and could move. Soon, he built a massive army of the stickmen; they soon learned how to do karate. They trained every day to get stronger and more powerful. They defended their tribe from people who tried to cut down the trees to make furniture. They kept the wood for themselves. The trees soon used the wood to make homes. They were protecting everything they had. They still live now!

Twigmen by Clara

Sprinting through the overgrowth, the creatures were coming. Slender bodies as fragile as twigs, who knows, maybe the creatures were twigs. Without a whisper, their silent midnight mission started... to eliminate the main source of all problems on Earth... humans. Creeping into houses was their speciality. The army had been hired by Mother Nature to rescue the planet from its gloomy future. The first victims were those who actively sought the destruction of the Earth: the frackers amongst others. They went to sleep that night and never woke up. By the time morning came, all of humanity had been obliterated.
