As the door slammed by Natasha

As the door slammed, I knew that this house was different - it was haunted. I came across this house in the middle of nowhere. I was curious about what was inside. There were many floors and there was broken glass from where the windows had smashed. Spiders crawled up the walls. The furniture was covered in cobwebs. Everywhere I looked, I saw large rats making homes out of old materials that were lying on the floor. It sent shivers down my spine. I quickly ran out of the house. As the door slammed, I knew I would never return.

As the door slammed by Courtney

I was waiting for the end of the day. It seemed to take hours just for one minute to to go by. When you think about it it seems really short but it's not.....
I waited and waited but it was like time wasn't here it just left. I finally finished maths and it was time for lunch. Lunch is my favourite time of the day. Sometimes anyway. It depends on what it is to eat. After lunch it was time for science. Nothing really happened. But when I got home, as the door slammed, I knew it was the holiday.

As the door slammed by Grace E

As the door slammed I knew that he was here. That he was waiting. I cautiously went downstairs and the door was wide open. I slammed it shut and locked it. As I turned to go back to my room he was stood there watching me. "I'm always here Nieve. Deep down you know that right?"
 ''I do," I whispered.
"I need you to do me a favour."
"Always."
Suddenly a knife fell off the table onto my foot. I screamed as the sharp blade stabbed into my foot. I turned around painfully and saw my brother was gone.

As the door slammed by Daisy

“Hooray” it was finally here. I’d been waiting to stay at my aunt’s house in the country for weeks. “You do know that her house is haunted don’t you” said my sister grinning. She was always winding me up. We got out of the car after what seemed miles down a leafy lane. I grabbed my bag and headed for the bedroom at the back of the house. It wasn’t haunted, I thought but it did feel cold as the wind rattled the window. I looked up and saw a shadow on the wall then as the door slammed, I knew she could be right!

As the door slammed, I knew by Maddie

Last year on Friday 13th I was left alone in my cosy bungalow. Earlier on that day I knew my parents were going out, but I didn't know I was going to be left on my own as I thought someone was coming round to baby sit me. Obviously, not! Later, at about 9:30pm, things were getting out of hand because shadows kept appearing everywhere and it kept making seriously frightening sounds. Then I heard knocking from the kitchen. So, I crept down the hallway quietly, then as the door slammed, I knew I needed to get out and fast....

As the door slammed shut I knew... by Lexi

As I stepped across my wooden door frame into the warm and cosy atmosphere of my house, I noticed that something was wrong. I yelled for Mum but there was eerie silence. Where was Dad and his beloved computer, where were my sisters and where was the TV they were always glued to? As I tilted my head to the right, I suddenly noticed a heap of shattered glass spread across the floor. Just then, as the door slammed shut I knew what dreadful thing had happened to us but surely it couldn’t be, could it? Had we been burgled?

Hide and Seek by Jack

Today I woke up to a brand new day and turned on my TV, I was watching my  favourite YouTube channel when my sister and her friend came into my room, as my sister's friend had stayed the night we all decided to play hide and seek I had a really good spot which was in my bedroom and then the seeker was on the loose looking for me and my sister, my sister wasn’t paying attention and shut the door hard and as the door slammed I knew the seeker would find us both, so I told my sister to hide somewhere else whichshe did as the seeker was opening the door she got caught and I was the victor for that game.

My Day by Clara

My rage fizzled over. “Fine!” I yelled, storming out of the room. The door almost came off its hinges as it rocketed shut. But as the door slammed, I knew I was being a brat. I burst into tears, my mum was crying… I had made her cry! “Shhh,” I whispered to her, stroking her hair softly. “I didn’t mean to upset you.” I cried even more, my face soaked with tears. Together we cried enough tears to fill the Atlantic Ocean. “I’m so sorry!” I gurgled between sobs. I nestled my face against Mum’s neck, and all was forgotten.

The body in the river by Daisy

Earlier today, reports came in that a body had been seen in a nearby river. Anxious locals raced to the scene to see what had happened. They were all asking; “What happened?” and “Who would do such a thing?”  and “when was it done?”
Then a local farmer came over to have a look at what had happened. “My scarecrow has gone missing from my field,” he said. The description of it was he was wearing dark green size 12 wellies! He heard laughter all around him, I think the mystery had been solved after all that.

Local boy found dead in Roundabout pond! by Grace E

At 1:35 in the afternoon a 14-year-old boy was found upside down in a pond by a woman walking her dog.
Ambulances and police arrived at the scene immediately. Devastatingly, his life could not be saved and passed away at 2:02 am. His name was Billy Hardy and the police are determined to find his killer, as it was obvious that he was murdered before he was placed exactly in the pond. His family have asked to grieve in peace. The town are questioning how seriously the police are taking this  incident as all investigations are private.

Teaching the children a lesson by Maya

Children love to play outside yet this group of children live near a really dangerous swamp. This particular swamp is surrounded by some of the most vicious creatures. There are crocodiles, black mamba snakes and worse. These children sneakily come out of their houses and play outside. None of the parents were ever convinced that it was safe to play so one day they decided to teach their children a lesson. They got a mannequin and stuck on some jeans and wellies and plonked it in the swamp. When the children saw that they never played near the swamp again.

BOY FOUND STUCK IN A HOLE... by Alexander

At somewhere around 4:00 yesterday afternoon an eight-year-old boy was found stuck in a hole in a field. His mum and dad found out he was nowhere in the house and called the police, regardless of the fact that they had not thought of anywhere else like his friend's house. The police started a search and found him stuck in a hole in a field unconscious at 4:00 pm. When the police returned him they were so happy they gave him a hug SO tight, it would crush a potato.

The Daily Times by Clara

Shadow Strikes Again
On Wednesday evening, The Shadow claimed its next victim. The sleepy town of Windham mourns Helen Scott, a 35-year-old mother who was ruthlessly murdered by Britain’s evilest killer. Her body was discovered on Thursday by her husband, Lawrence Scott, while a search party of six were looking for her. A post-mortem confirmed she died from drowning, and she was knocked unconscious by a blow to the head. Candle-lit vigils are being held all over Britain, with charities raising money for Helen’s two young children. Police have told members of the public to tell them about any information about The Shadow.

The Missing Boy by Lexi

At 6am this morning a report had been placed about a missing boy. The boy's parents described him as a small 9-year-old wearing a bright yellow coat, blue jeans and a pair of brown wellies. Since the case has been online photos have been flooding in about a pair of upside down wellies stuck in a pond only a few miles away from the house of our boy. Six Fire Brigade parties have been down to this location but none have been successful with pulling the boy out. All we can do now is sit, wait and hope for the best.

The Missing Farmer by Scarlett

Earlier today, at 10:35am a local farmer was reported missing by his wife. She states she that he was out looking for the neighbouring farm's dog. After a thorough search of his land, police discovered his body upside down, in marsh land. After heavy frost overnight, his body has been frozen into the ground, making it impossible to be removed. Treasured Possession by Darcie

My valuable treasure (I think) does not live with me but I see her every weekend and I ride her. She is really nice and she would never hurt you, but she would if you pulled on her reins too tight. She is mostly white with brown and black patches, sometimes when I see her she is all tacked up waiting for me. She eats hay and also loves Polos. When I met her I watched her walk out of a transporter, and I look forward to seeing her next as she cheers me up at the weekends. She is 14 hands which is taller than me!!

Treasured possession by Maya

He roams around the house looking for food or a place to sleep. He sits near the front door and cries to be let outside. His favourite drink is milk and loves fluffy pillows to sleep on. He can be vicious in some ways and in other he can be really cute. I will love him even when he is not here. He has been with us since December 2015. We got him from a lovely family but they had too many. He balances on the banister and shows off his skills yet outside he is always ready to pounce.

Treasured possession by Samuel

My guardian angel and my most precious possession although it isn't worth much it can warm a lot of hearts. It watches over me in my sleep so nothing will hurt me, there are also more of him and they are amazing too. We have known each over since I was born and we have loved and played from as far back as I can remember. Also, he will always have a place in my heart. Although people may laugh at me for having him I am very grateful that life has gifted me an amazing friend that I love.

Treasured Item by Courtney

It is very fluffy and warm. Its quite tall it can not move. It was £3.99. It has a yellow beak. It was a gift. You can fall asleep with it. Its colours are black, white, yellow and orange. It can get ripped and ruined and broken. You can sew it back together but it depends how broken. It is filled with wool and sometimes beads.

Special possession by Grace E

It sits on my bedside table. Pinging when someone texts me. It's protected by a password that nobody else knows. I hold it by its patterned pop-socket and I watch all of my notifications pop up on its screen. I feel a wave of disappointment and sadness as it runs out of charge. I run up to its charger and plug it in immediately! I take it to school and leave it in the office, and when I've finished all of my important education, I run to collect it. My special possession truly is amazing and I love it.

Treasured Item by Matty

This is a special piece of metal that was given to me for being good at what I did. It is quite big, has a mitre ball and it is silver. It has ESF2017 written on it. A celebrity called Stuart Pearce gave it to me. I have it on a shelf above my bed. I sometime pick it up and really look at it, it makes me feel very proud and happy to be given this. I hope I can get more of these this season. Hopefully, I might even get to have an even bigger one this season.

Purple fur by Clara

I clamber into bed hugging and cradling him. His purple fur has long since hardened but the childhood spirit inside his owner will make him live forever. He was “born” when I was 1 ½ and I have spent all my nights with him since. My brother spotted him in Great Yarmouth because I was obsessed with that character. The character has a purple, soft body and a big yellow patch in the middle of his stomach. He has green toes and a long tail. The character is a dinosaur. If I don’t have him, I can’t get to sleep.

Treasured Item by Natasha

My most treasured item ivery special to me because it reminds me of happy times.  It is not very valuable but it is to me. This item is something that I love very much. This item is not very big but to me it is, as it means the world to me. This is not very colourful but it has a lot of amazing features. This contains something I don’t like but it also contains something I love. To most people it would be rubbish but to me it means everything. To the eye it may look like nothing but in the mind, it brings a lot of wonderful memories.

Treasure Item by Daisy

When I am sad she is the first place I go to, she is the best! In my head she will always be with me for ever and ever. If I am lonely I go and talk to her and she makes me feel happy and safe. She is there for me all of the time. I feel extremely lucky to have her in my life. She is always by my side. Apart from when I am at school. But when I come out of school I give her a big hug then I am really happy!

Treasured Possession by Estera

It lays on my bed since I found him under my Christmas tree in 2011.
He stays there still and never moves unless he's in the washing machine.
He's very special to me because I can always talk to him about my day and cuddle him when I'm sad.
He has silvery grey faux-fur and brown, glimmering eyes. The ruby scarf he wears around his neck matches the Christmas hat he wears on his head perfectly.
His hat reminds me of the Christmas spirit.
I can see him right now smiling innocently at me while I read him my work.

My Treasured Possession by Ella

It shows me when I am sad, it shows me when I am happy. I can't tell when it changes, but when it does I'll know. Sometimes it is dark blue and sometimes bright red, it all depends on my mood. It's made out of round shiny silver metal that glitters in the sun. I wear it on my bony little finger, though it may slip. On my finger it will show my emotions. It sat there silently waiting for me, for it to be worn upon my finger. It suddenly changed colour and I bought it straight away.

Treasured Item by Tegan

My most precious thing is small in size, it is made out of crystal and is one of my memories. It was given to me when my granddad died and I have looked after it since 2013. It would go very slow if it was real but, it is not. It carries its home on its back and it stays at home with me. If I was a bird I would eat it for breakfast but with this one they can`t because It`s crystal and It will be something I cherish forever because he is special and I miss my granddad.

Treasured Item by Alexander

Hi, my name is Murphy and today, I'm sharing my quiz, and you have to guess what I'm sharing with you. Pretty much because that’s your only option. That’s all there is to it.

So, its blue and you play games on it. I know what you're thinking, "It's an iPad!!!" Well you would be wrong, But its close! Another hint is, it's fun to use and you need batteries for it. Almost a waste of money, but also not. I use mine almost every day, unless I'm grounded. So, have you got a guess yet? If so tell me what it is!

Treasured Item by Lexi

It lives. It breathes. It is with me most of the time. However, over the years I have grown more apart from it. Its voice echoes throughout my brain daily. It watches over me with its glittering blue eyes. It gives me guidance and tells me right from wrong. It won't leave my side when I'm ill and it prepares me for the future. Its unconditional love helps me thrive and it listens patiently to my hopes and dreams. It's much older than me and has the power to breathe life. It gave life to me life. It cherishes me.

The dog was wearing sunglasses by Courtney

We (me and my mum and dad and Daisy my dog) were on our way to Disney World and there were a lot of traffic jams. When we finally arrived, we went to our room (because we were staying for a week) and we started to unpack our stuff. When I was done Daisy brought her little suitcase. In Daisy's there was a tennis ball and a warm jumper because we came in November and finally there was a pair of sunglasses. There was a party and my dog came down and the dog was wearing sunglasses! WOW.

Today me and my parents went to Mr Philadelphia’s Animal Show. There is always a category, like for example, last week it was a talent show and me and my mum watched it. Today it is a dress-up show, I’m dressing up Pringle (my dog) as a doctor. Once it was the same category as this week and we saw who won. His name was Sam and his dog was dressed up as a magician, and the dog was wearing glasses!
Its time, my mum and dad sat in the audience screaming, '' You go girl!''
Everyone stared at me, '' What?''

A new pet by Samuel

One day, the Paul family were looking for a new pet but they couldn’t find the right one. They kept on looking and they saw a dog; a chihuahua to be precise. The dog was wearing; a bow tie, a pair of slippers and the dog was wearing glasses. The Paul family chose him and he was their new pet. They got home and called him Vinny. After that, they tried to take everything off him but as soon as it got to the glasses he just growled so they decided to leave them on and they were all happy.

And the dog was wearing glasses. by Lexi

And the dog was wearing glasses. But wait a minute... this wasn’t a dog nor was it a cat! This was a man. However, this particular man wasn’t your average man, he was special. But does he use this power for good? No. Instead he chooses to creep around in the depths of twilight stalking people and turning them into dogs. Small fuzzy dogs. Why does he do this? I hear you ask. Well people say that this mysterious man hopes to one day create a new race where humans have the power and agility of dogs. Could you say he was doing you a favour?

The dog show by Ella

Today was a special day for all canines, the annual event where dogs of the neighbourhood dress up in human things to show off. One dog was wearing shoes and another was wearing a shiny back top hat. Sooner or later, every dog on the whole street was there at their secret location. There was no time to lose. They started the event by having a race. The referee was a giant, panting St Bernard with a small brown whistle around his neck and the dog was wearing glasses to see the finish line from across the other end of the field.

Specsavers by Maya

Today Alexandra had the opticians. She had broken her glasses. She had been looking forward to this particular appointment because it was at the end of school and she normally had to be taken out of lessons. Alexandra loved school and she loved everything about it from the boring maths lessons to playtime. After a fun day at school she got to Specsavers. In the waiting room she saw her best friend Mia and her dog. He was a very lively dog and he bashed into the glasses display. Then Cookie turned around and the dog was wearing glasses

The animal rescue shelter by Natasha

One day, as a family, we went to an animal rescue shelter. At the rescue shelter there were lots of different animals who no one wanted so they were there for the rest of their lives. The shelter was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields for the animals to play in. The animals were mainly outside looking out for cars and wishing someone would stop and say hello. When we were there, we walked past a field of horses. After we saw the horses we saw a lonely dog in a kennel and the dog was wearing glasses.

A dog named Jake by Daisy

There was a man who had a dog named Jake. One day the man went to specsavers to get some new glasses. While he was out he took the dog along, “I think we shall throw a party tonight,” he said. The dog was going crazy with excitement and bumped into the tree and the man’s glasses fell on to his head and the dog was wearing glasses! The dog raced into the party room and the owner saw him with his new glasses on his head. He tried to take them off but they were well and truly stuck!

The Pet Show by Scarlett

The day was finally here, The Annual Pet Show! I didn't know who was more excited, me or my pet dog Angel, after all our training and preparation! I got ready to head off to the local park, Angel ran circles around the house in a frenzy. We set off walking with anticipation to what was ahead. Before we knew it, it was our turn to wow the crowds and impress the judges in the fancy dress section. Out we headed with Angel in her lovely fairy outfit, only to find a handsome Labrador and the dog was wearing glasses!

The Glasses by Clara

“How long till I can have my interview?” thought Jane. It had been two hours since Mark had finished his. “That’s it! I can’t take it any longer!” she said to herself, and she burst through the heavy oak door. What was inside made her scream. The stench was unbearable. Indescribable. One of Britain’s most powerful entrepreneurs was dead. Head back. Eyes screaming. Dead. Sitting on his desk was a St. Bernard with sharp teeth. Its teeth looked deadly. Its teeth had blood dripping down to a puddle of its victim’s blood. And the dog was wearing glasses. His glasses.
