…but what if I was in charge?… by Daisy

Jack always wanted to be a head teacher. Now he was older, it was one normal school day. He could hear the other boys whispering how awful Jack would be if he ever became head teacher. He got really angry, “But what if I was in charge?” he thought, making him more determined.
Years passed, and Jack became head of the local high school. Now he WAS in chargehe made a rule to punish anyone who didn’t believe in other people's dreams and encourage everyone, including those hardly noticed, to never give up and be sure they got were heard!

James went on the daring catapult ride; where every time you flew into the air you won a brown goldfish. Then he went on the obstacle course, then the ladder but he kept on falling offHe was having so much fun but then he lost his mum He tried to look for herThere she was in the distance, queuing up for the catapult ride!

The trees fight back by Daisy

The forest near our house had been there for a long time. Some of the trees are believed to be up to a 100 years old! The local newspaper was had reported that some of the trees were to be cut down, to make room for the new café…
A young boy was giving out flyers of what the new café would look like. In the night, one of the flyers stuck onto a tree. Suddenly an army of wood figures were guarding the old trees. Now no one dare touch them. All of the people there ran swiftly back home, ahhh!

… it came down the drainpipe… by Daisy

It was an ordinary day. Nothing unusual about it, I sat playing a game on my phone listening to music. Then everything changed.

It came down the drainpipe, the most enormous spider you had ever seen! I froze so did the spider, it seemed to be staring right back at me. Even though it was impossible to see its eyes. Then it scurried so fast and went under the chair. I grabbed a cup and waited, then it was trapped. I got it in the cup and ran to the door and shut it tight.

As I looked around another was coming down the drainpipe…Nooo!

energetic hurried sandwich white battery by Daisy

It was one of those days where everything goes wrong. The battery had just died on my phone and as I bit into my sandwich “yuck” white bread! I only like brown. I decided to go the park and get an ice cream I hurried because it was going to shut in 10 minutes. When I got there, it had already shut. I was going to go to the other ice cream shop down the road, but I wasn’t feeling very energetic. The day just couldn’t get any worse. When I finally got my ice cream it dropped on the floor.

The statue by Daisy

Jake walked to his Nan's. She lived at the back of a large forest but every time Jake walked past this tree it felt very cold and he always thought he saw a dark hooded man. When he arrived at his Nan's, he asked her why it was so cold in the woods. She told him there was a story that there was an old man’s dog who had died next to a tree there. Only he was to visit his grave, so he sent a cloaked man over there to guard the grave. “But I don’t think it is true!” she said.

Ghosts by Daisy

Izzy was just about to settle down to watch her favourite TV program called, ‘A Ghost In My Town’ when her mum shouted, “Can you go to the shops please we’ve ran out of milk.” Izzy got up not wanting to go and headed out. It was strange, the town seemed empty and cold. But when she half closed her eyes she could see people faintly appearing. Her head started to hurt and as she closed her eyes, she could hear her mum, “Izzy , wake up!” As she came round her TV program was on. Was it real what just happened? Izzy wasn’t sure.

flame, swimming, celebrated, white, tomorrow by Daisy

The countdown to my swimming competition was here, tomorrow was the big day. I had been chosen to carry the baton, it wasn’t like it was the Olympic flame or anything, but it was special to me. I got there, and no one was allowed in because the pool had turned white! They managed to clean it out and finally everyone was allowed in so they all celebrated with joy but then all of a sudden, a man came in and said, “This swimming pool is not allowed for competitions.” The pool all went quiet and the celebrating was over.

As the door slammed by Daisy

“Hooray” it was finally here. I’d been waiting to stay at my aunt’s house in the country for weeks. “You do know that her house is haunted don’t you” said my sister grinning. She was always winding me up. We got out of the car after what seemed miles down a leafy lane. I grabbed my bag and headed for the bedroom at the back of the house. It wasn’t haunted, I thought but it did feel cold as the wind rattled the window. I looked up and saw a shadow on the wall then as the door slammed, I knew she could be right!

The body in the river by Daisy

Earlier today, reports came in that a body had been seen in a nearby river. Anxious locals raced to the scene to see what had happened. They were all asking; “What happened?” and “Who would do such a thing?”  and “when was it done?”
Then a local farmer came over to have a look at what had happened. “My scarecrow has gone missing from my field,” he said. The description of it was he was wearing dark green size 12 wellies! He heard laughter all around him, I think the mystery had been solved after all that.

Treasure Item by Daisy

When I am sad she is the first place I go to, she is the best! In my head she will always be with me for ever and ever. If I am lonely I go and talk to her and she makes me feel happy and safe. She is there for me all of the time. I feel extremely lucky to have her in my life. She is always by my side. Apart from when I am at school. But when I come out of school I give her a big hug then I am really happy!

A dog named Jake by Daisy

There was a man who had a dog named Jake. One day the man went to specsavers to get some new glasses. While he was out he took the dog along, “I think we shall throw a party tonight,” he said. The dog was going crazy with excitement and bumped into the tree and the man’s glasses fell on to his head and the dog was wearing glasses! The dog raced into the party room and the owner saw him with his new glasses on his head. He tried to take them off but they were well and truly stuck!

Tom's Medicine by Daisy

Years ago there was a boy called Tom who dreamed of being a professor when he was an adult. In the big twisted world of science, 15 years later his dream came true he was a professor making medicine and potions. But one day he was asked to make a medicine for children. This was difficult as the colour kept changing so he put some purple dye in the mix. He left the room and BOOM it turned into a purple crocodile!! Everyone had to be evacuated out of the lab. They had to call an animal rescue to take it away.

Scientists by Daisy

Everything seemed normal … lights had been set up in the old abandoned garage it began to shake ! Then SMASH the light bulb fell to the floor smashing and leaving a sea of colour. It was a job only to be investigated by a special team of miniature scientists. The colours looked like they were lighting the disco. But close inspections saw that it could be something else. A man said that they should create a case of who did this and who was in the garage at the same time that the light bulb fell.

But who did it?

…so, what lies ahead of… by Daisy

So what lies ahead of the magical forest? A girl named Blossom was about to find out! She was a country girl from Kansas who lived with her grandparents. One day she decided to go for a walk. She came across a forest so she walked through it and fell down a hole but then shot back up again. The forest was magical and the first thing she saw was a rainbow coloured unicorn. Her eyes filled up with tears of colour - it was beautiful. So she rode it back home and she kept it as a pet.
