She shouted and sobbed all night. 2 weeks later Sam went to the cemetery and saw his dad's grave. Sam looked at the gravestone sobbing. There was his name, Matthew Crimson carved on the stone. The air was misty and creepy so Sam headed back. Then he heard a creepy noise. It was like someone was calling his name...

The Hand by Maya

200 years ago, a man was chopping wood, in the dark, for some scouts that were camping beside a lake. Suddenly he chopped his hand off! He cried with pain. The scouts rushed to him, but he was gone. They searched and searched for him but all there was left was a muddy, bloody hand. The scouts ran back to their tents. Throughout the night, the muddy hand grabbed them one by one. Soon all the scouts were gone and just the muddy hand was left. To this day the scouts were not found, and the hand has been found.

Last night I went to a Halloween Party. Lots of people were dressed as animals yet one costume really stood out. This person was dressed as a fearless tiger. Nobody knew who he was. He acted really suspicious like he was up to something bad. There was something frightening in his glare that gave us all goosebumps. He stood in the doorway watching everyone dance. Nobody dared to speak to him. He held a cigar which eventually filled the room with nose-blocking smoke. Then suddenly the curtains caught fire! Everyone panicked and ran but the tiger was blocking our escape...

Emily lives in London with her mum, dad and her energetic and annoying sister. She loves her laptop and when someone touches it she screams as though they have just broken it. One day, after school she went to chat to her friends on social media. Then the most terrible thing happened (according to her). The battery died. She hurried downstairs to get the charger. Her sister grabbed a sandwich, and pushed it into the cd player in the white laptop and jammed it. When Emily came back with her charger she saw the burnt sandwich she screamed.

Sam and Mark are best friends. Their school have come up with a new system to get their pupils involved in World Kindness Day. Pupils can earn Kindness Cards by being kind to someone, however a teacher has to spot them first. A pupil can exchange them for a prize. The friends aren’t very kind but love getting prizes. They had a plan to earn one Kindness card and photocopy millions. Mark asked, "But where would we hide it all?"
“We’ll leave them in there for a night but we’ll move them into the old,unused storage cupboard.” Sam answered.

Ghosts by Maya

People have been wondering why ghosts have been appearing around the city of Paris in France. Not many people have been aware of this, but there has been an anonymous legend going through a very unusual family. This legend tells us that one day a prisoner will escape from prison and dig up his father from his grave. This grave is no ordinary grave. It is really powerful. If it opens, it makes all the dead people come out of their coffins and become ghosts.  

Today the grave has been opened and ghosts are haunting the shopping streets of Paris. 

Teaching the children a lesson by Maya

Children love to play outside yet this group of children live near a really dangerous swamp. This particular swamp is surrounded by some of the most vicious creatures. There are crocodiles, black mamba snakes and worse. These children sneakily come out of their houses and play outside. None of the parents were ever convinced that it was safe to play so one day they decided to teach their children a lesson. They got a mannequin and stuck on some jeans and wellies and plonked it in the swamp. When the children saw that they never played near the swamp again.

Treasured possession by Maya

He roams around the house looking for food or a place to sleep. He sits near the front door and cries to be let outside. His favourite drink is milk and loves fluffy pillows to sleep on. He can be vicious in some ways and in other he can be really cute. I will love him even when he is not here. He has been with us since December 2015. We got him from a lovely family but they had too many. He balances on the banister and shows off his skills yet outside he is always ready to pounce.

Specsavers by Maya

Today Alexandra had the opticians. She had broken her glasses. She had been looking forward to this particular appointment because it was at the end of school and she normally had to be taken out of lessons. Alexandra loved school and she loved everything about it from the boring maths lessons to playtime. After a fun day at school she got to Specsavers. In the waiting room she saw her best friend Mia and her dog. He was a very lively dog and he bashed into the glasses display. Then Cookie turned around and the dog was wearing glasses.
