The world cup starts tomorrow right here in Brazil! “This is sensational!” exclaimed Tom. Tom was ten years old and this was his first time watching the world cup and he was really excited but that’s what happens in Brazil when the world cup starts. Tom lived in Brazil where all of the children love to play football. Even his parents wanted to see it. Tom's family couldn't afford to pay for some tickets to go and watch the matches as they were quite poor like most other families in Brazil. He had a great time watching the Brazilian football!

Yesterday, me and by best friends went out into town and our parent gave us £20 to spend each. Once we were finished getting ready we immediately headed into town. When we reached town we couldn't think what to do. We finally decided to go to the sweet shop and spend half of our money on delicious sweets. Before we walked into the sweet shop we saw something very strange. We saw a huge, enormous and incredible egg roll straight out of the shop and splat right onto the small kerb. I couldn't believe my eyes! It was really amazing.

Me and my friend Thomas were walking in town to see what we could buy from the chip shop. Thomas had chips while I had a mini fish and chips. It took about an hour for us to walk there from home as we both didn't live very close to the town. While we were running home we saw two young women dancing in the park. We exited the ginormous park but before we did there was a small black gateway leading to a cold vacated room. Inside the room there were cobwebs everywhere and we didn't know what was going on.

"Wake up!" shouted my mum. My mum was a young woman that worked as a hairdresser every day. She liked her job because she could talk to people while cutting their hair and she was paid a fair wage. My mum always takes me shopping and today it was even worse than normal. We went shopping all day long which was really boring. The only shopping that I enjoy is toy shopping and we didn't do that so I was really annoyed. I was glad I was home and then suddenly I thought but where could I go.

...some of the words sounded like a foreign language... by Finlay

"Come on!" shouted Lewis's mum! Lewis had to go to the library to change his book as he had finished it two weeks before. After a long time of nagging Lewis's mum eventually persuaded him to go into to town to take his book back. When they arrived it had only been the second time Lewis had been to a library and he really didn't enjoy it, but his mum makes him go every week. He read a book and some of the words sounded like a foreign language. Reading foreign books was so strange for Lewis. He didn't understand!

In this picture there are two people. One of them is holding a stick that has got a hook on the end. There is also a giant bee which is either dead or asleep. The other person or inspector is holding a camera taking a picture or filming the giant bee. This is my story on how it happened.

Max was walking into town because his mum had annoyingly sent him out to get some ingredients for their tea. Before Max opened the shop door to walk in he looked down and saw the giant, still bee, inspector and photographer!

… and when I opened the cupboard door … by Finlay

On Saturday when I woke up I ventured out into my new home, all of the rooms were bright and colourful with dazzling windows and brown cupboards. After that I went into what my mum said was going to be be my new room, it had a huge cupboard, three bookshelves and the tiniest bed you have probably ever seen. It was so tiny that only my leg could fit inside the quilt. The bed had a red quilt and a brown bottom. There was a cupboard that was brown and when I opened the cupboard door FLASH BANG!

but I couldn't find the egg by Finlay

Mum told me to get up and we had to go to my grans house for a Easter egg hunt. So I did as my mum told me to and went to my grans but when I arrived I realised that I wasn't going to be the only one involved in the egg hunt! To get to my gran's it took about two or three hours to get there so of course we slept over there. Gran said that there was only one egg so that was annoying! I enjoyed the Easter egg hunt but I couldn't find the egg.

…but I thought I had enough time… by Finlay

Yesterday morning I forgot to do my really boring homework after school so my horrible teacher shouted at me and it was really mean and not nice at all. Now I have learnt my lesson not to forget to do my homework It makes school a lot better and a lot more fun because now I don't forget to do my homework which is really good and brilliant, but I thought I had enough time yesterday. If I did have enough time I wouldn't of been shouted at by my teacher and wouldn't of been told off. I am angry!

Night Zoo Keeper by Finlay

I would like to be a night zoo keeper because of the amazing adventures that they have and enjoy. I would be able to do anything I want including climbing the tallest mountain or tree. Or fight the Nilth monster. I would have to save lots of incredible animals like a spying Giraffes to time traveling elephants. It would be amazing to have this opportunity. I could not let the Nilth destroy and invade the night zoo. I must stop all of the Nilth that are trying to destroy the the night zoo. I have to save the night zoo!

…look up! Can you see… by Finlay

One day Fred was outside riding his bike with his best friend Tom they enjoyed riding their bikes and going into the tall woods. So every day after their long, hard school time they would venture into the woods. After that they rode down a small, windy path made of concrete and then Fred muttered to Tom "Look up! Can you see that strange shadow glaring right at us." Eventually Tom looked up to see for himself and what he saw was absolutely incredible! It was white and green and it was shaped exactly like an oval. Its a SPACESHIP!

Caitlin was very bored wondering what to do? She decided to call for her best friend Lewis. Around the tight narrow corner was a huge dusty haunted house which had been there for ages and ages. Caitlin and Lewis had always wondered what was inside! They decided to go and investigate this haunted mansion. They sneaked around the back of the house and climbed over the broken fence wondering what was inside. There was a broken window so they climbed through! In the room was just a small box but when she lifted the lid there came a piercing squeal!

Three Little Pigs by Finlay #24

One day there lived three pigs their mum told them to go and seek their fortunes. So the first little pig built its house out of straw. Along came the big bad wolf and he blew the first little pigs house down. So straight after that the first little piggy ran straight into the second little pigs house which was made out of sticks. Suddenly when the wolf arrived outside of the second little pigs house he said lets all go to a party! So the party was held at the third little pigs house. They all had an amazing time! 

Finlay #23

On a distant island in the south of Spain there sitting by the calm, clear blue sea was a young boy called Frank. When it was time to go to bed for Frank he snuggled under his soft comfortable duvet. Suddenly an hour later he heard a very peculiar sound just outside of their brand new hand made wooden house! After that Frank went straight outside to see what was the very strange problem. When he arrived outside of his house there was a very weird alien pushing through the earth trying to get to me. Oh no I'm scared!

Super Fish, the fastest and greatest fish in the whole ocean! Every summer all of the fish gather

together in a stadium for the ultimate one hundred metre swim. This year Super Fish was defending his title for the second time. They were all at the starting point waiting for the buzzer. On your marks get set go! They were off speeding as fast as they could but Super Fish was right ahead he was like a flash of lightning. Suddenly he lost control knocking him unconscious. He had disappeared but all we could see was water.

Finlay #19

I was sat on an aeroplane on my way to sunny Spain. I glanced out of the window and to my wondering eyes I saw a pink gorilla flying a plane at the side of me! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Next the gorilla parachuted out of the plane and landed perfectly on a really cool BMX bicycle. I arrived home after my 3 week long holiday with my grand-parents and told my friends about my adventure with the gorilla and how funny he was. Once again they all laughed at me but maybe it was just a dream.

Looming at the back of the forbidden, secret garden was Ben’s dads rotten, old shed which to Ben looked very peculiar ever since they moved into their new house. To Ben it looked peculiar because all he could see on the reflection was one single door which wasn’t anywhere around him so that meant that it didn’t exist. Every day he wanted to see what was inside of it but of course he was too busy doing his homework or even going round to his friend’s house. So one day he thought that’s it I am going through the door.

It was a sunny morning but I wasn't allowed to go and play outside with my friends because of course I had to go to my nana's house! This meant that I was going to be really bored and would have to eat something disgusting. Usually the spaghetti tasted like mouldy, squishy worms. The custard tasted like lumpy gravy. The ice cream tasted like warm slop. Hopefully nana had some of those lovely chocolate biscuits that I really, really liked. When I arrived I was absolutely right in the kitchen I could smell the disgusting food cooking in the oven.

There was a young geeky boy called Tom. He lived a ginormous house because of his family being rich. The day that he woke it was CHRISTMAS day! Which Tom thought was the best day. When he eventually got to go down his long, windy stairs and into the huge lounge all he could see was presents everywhere! After he had opened all of his presents he could see a gigantic present in a box. It was a mac book pro but when I put the batteries in it he felt incredibly excited.

One sad and colourless day, there lived two children, one called Tom and the other called Max. Together they both wanted to bring back the colourful world. That day as Tom woke up he thought of an idea. In his house there was a small basement. Since Tom had been growing up he had always been wondering what was behind it so he suddenly called Max. He came round and they strolled into the basement. In the basement was a tiny art room! Immediately after that Max pressed a button that made everything come to life.
