"…but I’m afraid it’s the last one," he said… Lily

There was a boy who had no parents he was an orphan he didn’t have much except a ring. The ring had been passed on to this little boy from his mother who had very sadly died in a car accident. He got £0.50 a week and he spent some of it on sweets. Meanwhile the others bought toys they never used ever again. “Can I have a sweet please Keelan?” Said Ben.

“Maybe but I’m afraid it is the last one.” He said nervously. “OK!” Keelan answered. 

He gave the sweet to Ben and went to his room, but later on everyone was there asking for a sweet. Which meant Ben had told!!!

Lily - X Marks the Spot

It is time for a General Election in the UK. But who will win? There are candidates like UKIP, Labour, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, The Green Party, SNP and Plaid Cymru. 

Everyone is given a polling card, you then go to your local polling station, where you are given a form with the names of all the candidates, you have to choose and X marks the spot next to your choice. This is the person who will represent your local area in the House of Commons in London. An announcement as to who has the most votes is made the following day.

Lily - My Ultimate Adventure

One day when looking at a holiday website I saw an advertisement for a holiday to Australia so I showed my parents, mum said, "A holiday to Australia that would be good but very expensive!" 

Dad replied, "I agree but it is on offer!" So it was decided we were going to Australia for two weeks in the summer holidays. 

When it was time we went to the airport. We boarded the plane and set off for two days travel. 

The two weeks that we were there we had a lot of fun. Once back we all said that was My Ultimate Adventure!

One day my mum said, “Right we have been working hard so let’s go on holiday. But only if… It’s somewhere sunny!” So we booked a holiday but it was only for the two of us. We packed our bags and waved. We took off and during the journey in the plane we played games but mum was tired and wanted to have a rest, so I watched a movie. Then when I looked out of the plane window, I saw the most beautiful country all spread out underneath me. We stayed there for a week and had a fabulous holiday.

One day my mum and I went shopping. I saw a sign saying, "Puppies for sale” so I dragged my mum into the shop. Then I said, "Look at them, we so need a puppy in our house.”

But mum said, "Let's look at some other pets first!" So we looked around the shop but we loved the puppies. We agreed to buy one, but which one? We looked at the puppies and they all had wrappers on their collars. I chose my favourite I decided to call him Muffin, but it said ‘Sweet' on the wrapper, and we love him.

Jessica:

The grey hyena was very lonely and miserable because he was eating his sandwich in the park with his hyena friends when he said, “I am the best hyena in all the land and also I can climb the highest mountain in all the world.” That is when all of his friends got very mad with him and walked off. He hadn't seen his friends for a week until one of them came up to him and said, “You are a horrible friend,” and then the hyena walked off without another word. From then on the hyena was very lonely.

Lily:

One day my school and I went out for a school trip. Courtney said, “So Mr. Ball where are we going?!" After a while of twiddling his thumbs Freddirick answered with, "Weren't you listening? Mr. Ball is taking us all to the zoo!" Suddenly everyone in the coach stood up screaming.

“But it is so miserable and grey outside!" answered Celia.

"Well I can't wait, until I see the hyena, I heard that hyenas laugh and can climb!" said Clarissa.

"Well I've come prepared I've got a sandwich!" shouted Bobbi. “And no climbing hyena is going to eat it ok!!"

Morgan:

One day the witch of Grey came into the town of Rainbows and Sparkle it is a magical and colourful place with happy people but the witch HATES the place! The witch was planning to make the place Miserable but failed after the power of love stopped her. She has been planning to make the town unhappy ever since and she has a plan; to dress up like them and act like them, make a sandwich for all of them that makes them angry and unhappy and take over the world with her Hyena (which was called Climb strange name) but as normal her plan failed.

Eleanor:

One day I was walking up a hill. Every day I climb it with my dad. Today I found out that there was a magical sandwich on top. Everyone knew about it that made me miserable. I was still going to climb the Grey Mountain. I got to the top layer and there was a hyena guarding it! This was a weird day. I was just going to go, but as I turned round I saw people fighting for it, so I got it. I climbed my way through the hyena and there it was.

Jemima:

After school on Tuesday, on my way home, I saw a hyena. It was grey with a little bit of brown on it, it looked really hungry. Not too soon after, I watched it climb up a hill, for a while, it was going really fast, until it was nearly at the top, when it slowed down. When it finally reached the top of the huge hill, it ran over to a very large sandwich. The hyena was miserable to see that it was very mouldy. It must have been up there for a while. The hyena was very sad.

Kieran:

Five whole years ago in south America, a grey Hyena called Josh had to climb a cliff over 500 feet to get into a club called laugh a lot. 

Josh replied “I’ll do it." Sometime later his mum made Josh a sandwich to give him hope but he just felt miserable having to climb 500 feet. The day came and Josh, his Mum and Dad and some of the club members arrived but Josh, he wasn't up to doing the climb so he shouted, "I can't do it." Consequently everybody laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.

Olivia:

We got up one morning and we decided to go to the zoo for a family trip and so we all agreed. We got to the zoo and firstly we saw a hyena it was grey and looked very miserable so because it was miserable I gave it a sandwich to cheer it up but instead it climb the tree went crazy and attacked my sister that was very funny. Then an ambulance turned up to take her to hospital, then the zoo keeper told me off for feeding the animals. So in the end she had a broken leg.

Harvey:

In the holidays my family and I went to the zoo, it took a long time to get there and along the way one of the roads was closed so we had to go another way which added even more time to our journey. We finally arrived and the weather was not very good, the sky looked grey and miserable, we decided to have our dinner early so I ate my sandwich, while eating dinner the weather improved and we had a great time, the best bits were seeing the monkeys climb and a hyena nearly jump over the fence!

Rio:

It was a grey miserable day when I saw a hyena climb a mountain for food. 

The hyena hoped there was a nice delicious sandwich at the top of the mountain.

The hyena was extremely hungry because all the animals moved south for the winter so his food source was rationed. The hyena hoped it was a piece of meat and not jam and cheese because he doesn't like it because he’s not a vegetarian. When he got to the top of the mountain he didn’t find a sandwich he found the animals so he was even happier that day.

Aron:

It was another rainy miserable Saturday. I thought to myself. “Mmm... I will invite Kieran around." I rang him up and he agreed!

After my friend came round, my mum took us to the fossil museum! When we got through the old, grey entrance we could see... An enormous fossil of a T-Rex! There was also a big climbing wall behind it. I said, "Let's have a climb. Me and Kieran really enjoyed all the climbing, however I got very hungry, as hungry as hungry hyena. I suggested to go to Subway for a tasty sandwich. We all loved the idea.

Caitlin:

This morning I woke admiring the picture on my wall. It was of my great granddad he had climbed a mountain, I wish I could climb a mountain, but I don’t think it’s for me. So the next day I decide to do something out of this world. I was going to Africa to see the incredible animals. I packed some food and water to keep me going. I saw amazing things and animals I had never seen in my life. I felt something brush against my back, it was a grey hyena! It had taken my sandwich. It bared its teeth, I was now miserable.

One day I went to school and it was PARTY DAY, we did a lot of fun stuff and when I went home I carried on PARTYING!!!!!! We had a lot of challenges but when it came to me I had to feel stuff. I stuck my hand in to a bag and felt around 
‘What was that I could feel?’ I thought. Suddenly something bit me so I went to hospital but it was only a mosquito. So we went back to the game. Then I shouted, “Is it a piece of wool!” and I rightfully won the prize.

The Ship by Lily

Suddenly water was all I could feel, it was everywhere I looked. I couldn't see a thing except my friend slowly drifting to the bottom of the sea. I swam to the top of the water but I looked back down to see the captain on the bridge trying his hardest not to swim to the surface. 
Two years later, my wife and I went out for a walk but it was too stormy to go far. The following day I went out to the coast and I saw…
The ship! So I went to investigate and also look around.

One day my mum and I went to an animal rescue center I saw a beautiful greyhound. I begged and pleaded as I fell in love with him. So after a lot and I mean a lot of persuading my mum answered with. “Yes alright but he is your responsibility you have to look after him.” So I answered “Thank you mum and yes I know I will look after him with my life.”

Two days later. I took my dog out for a walk but as the leaves rustled my dog turned around and ran back into the house.

One day Mum and I bought a puppy it was only two months old. Two weeks later we were going to Scotland, but I refused to take the puppy into kennels so we took it with us. We went to stay with family in the north of Scotland in January. One day we went out, but we left my puppy with my Uncle, Aunt and cousins. It was a cold day and they took it out for a long walk, but as it shivered, they went via the town and bought it a lovely, new tartan dog coat to wear.

Today I have to go to my gran’s. She has lots of antiques. Luckily I have a sister she has to come too. I love one it is so cute it has a green cat swimming on it. 

One day I invited my friends round for a party. “WWWWWOOOOOOO!!!” Screamed my friends. Then I heard a SMASH!

In the morning I saw the green cat that swims broken on the floor. “NO!” I lifted up the pieces and hid them. I never saw them again. The next day my mum and dad picked me up. I went home and forgot.

Lily …I could not believe the smell…

 One day my family and I went to a restaurant I ordered a Hawaiian pizza. As they brought it out I could not believe the smell. It was amazing! So when I took my first bite it tasted like an explosion of the Hawaiian Islands in my mouth. Everybody in the restaurant turned and smirked at me. Then I said "This pizza is tip top." Suddenly everybody was up trying to get my pizza. I shouted "NO IT IS ALL MINE!!!!!!!!!" And with that I gulped it all down my neck. Unfortunately the beautiful smelling pizza was all gone. But it had gone in my tummy, oh yeh.

Suddenly I was able to see again by Lily

“RUN…RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! THERE IS A WEREWOLF COMING! HELP ME!” screamed Rose.

I ran through the forest as fast as I could, when suddenly I heard a long scream. I turned around and ran towards the sound, but that is when I saw a werewolf holding Rose on his shoulder. Rose was screaming. I froze, and the werewolf picked me up too. He took us to his den, which was extremely dark, and left me there.

We felt around and found a tunnel, this we followed until we could see some light at the end, suddenly we could see again…

As I looked around by Lily

As I looked around I saw the horizon shining in the distance with a red sky. “Look at that beautiful sky!” I said.
 “Oh yeah.” answered Celia ,“Lets find out what makes it red. I wonder how it gets the colour red?”
“I have an idea let’s go to a space museum.” I shouted.
“Lets go!” answered Celia .
“We're here finally,” I said clutching for breath. "Excuse me. We are all here to find out what makes the horizon red?”
“Why my dear when the sun is at sundown it hit a load of colours off the spectrum.” said the scientists. 
“Finally we know!!!!!!” we shouted.

The Bridge by Lily

"Build me that bridge!" Said the king.

"Why?" Asked the poor peasants.

"So I can get to the far side! Now get on with it!"

Weeks passed, so did months, and they all thought they were going to die! However, they had reached the middle, and within a year it was completed.

The messenger ran to the king, who was counting his money. "Sir the bridge is done!" He said breathlessly.

"But there is a gigantic storm brewing."

But by the morning the bridge had collapsed and the king never got to see the other side.
