#40 by Tarne

Today was the last day to get a ticket for the fair and I really wanted one but what if there is none left I said to myself well I better go quick I thought so off I went to Lucca's polona. I slowly walked in and the jingly bell rang and as my feet hit the creaky floorboards Lucca shouted, “Alice my favourite customer, what can I do for you today?”
“Just another chance to win a ticket please!” I replied
“Ok. But I’m afraid it’s the last one,” he said.
“I’ve won a ticket” I shouted. I was so happy I had won a ticket !

I was with my friend Aimee, when I saw a big black hole in the middle of the road. I wondered if anything had been in there or even worse fallen in. Anyway, I just walked round it and carried on walking. Suddenly, out of nowhere, appeared a gateway! I walked through it and it seemed to feel cold on my arm; all the hairs poked up and goose bumps appeared. Then a rush of air touched my face so I started running thinking it was a ghost or even worse.

...but when she lifted the lid... by Tarne

My friend Lucy is very nice but she has this obsession with fish. One day I came up to her and
asked her if she wanted to play she said, “No, I’m going to get a bunny.”
“But I thought you liked fish?” I wondered.
“I do but my mum says that I have to get something else and you have already got a fish so I can come over to your house and adore yours!” as she walked away.
Later that day Lucy came round to my house and she came over and went to the fish bowl, but when she lifted the lid!.....”Huh!” wet..

Tarne #19

My mum used to tell me loads of stories but my favourite one was the pink gorilla who went to the grand parade. So this is the story.

Once upon a time there was a gorilla called Bongo who loved to play the bongos. His dream was to play with the band called, 'The Pink Gorillas' and he had a friend called Rupert, who liked riding his bicycle and played the piano. So they played together and they laughed when Bongo fell over his bongos. Sometimes he wondered why he was called Bongo he thought his parents might have known he would play the bongos.

One day I was walking into the café and I saw a new shop and it was called custard delight so I ordered a coffee and wandered over. I peered through the window and had a look the sign said custard for sale or come in and have a taste and there is a new product called custard berry. I assumed it had berries so I walked in and had a taste the custard tasted like berries and cherries it was so delicious it was like tasting a flower it smelt so good and taste good as sweets but it had fruit in! Amazing.

I was trapped I looked around and there was paint brushes and paint with a clean, white canvas just sat there in a lonely room waiting to be used. Aside of the door there was a lever and I wondered what it did but the only way to find out is to pull it. So as scared as ever I pulled the lever and some of the bricks came back which led to a door. I was confused should I go through I thought to myself. I had to take the risk so I walked through the door and gasped.

Tarne - Letter in a bottle

Dear friend,
I know there have been bad times for you and your family. Hopefully it will all be ok as people all over the world are sending food and water. The world is pulling together and you will get your life back I promise. Your situation will start to improve as help gets to you and your life will be better soon. I hope you can imagine a better future in your country and I also wish this for you. Happiness will spread around as your country is rebuilt and you can all be happy again.  I wish you well.

Tarne WC#11 Remembering

They gave their lives to keep us safe,
We are grateful for all they gave.
We miss them all and we are free so let us keep the memories.
Think about the things that they did for us,
Something that we will always touch.
Love is priceless and safe something you shall always take
Poppies were in the fields on that day,
Possibly may appear one day.
The risky things they did for us,
Should live forever let us hope it does.
We wear our poppies today with pride,
To commemorate why they died.
So silent remembrance on the day.

Tarne 100 Word Challenge #10

I was walking along the uneven road when I came past a filled puddle it wasn't any old puddle in fact it was an enormous lake full of mouldy leaves and grimy water. I thought I saw a person in the water so I pulled and pulled until the boots were free then I realized it was fake boots and fake legs it was a TRICK! Someone had put them there so someone will pick them up. I was disgusted by it so I ran away to go and see my mum. I told her and she was shocked.

Tarne 100 Word Challenge #9

The violent storm was terrible there were trees blowing over onto houses and cars with people in them. Also it was like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz with the big hurricane but this one had rain pouring down onto the bumpy, soggy road. The rain got heavier and heavier, the sky got darker and darker until it went black! Lights turned on in houses as all the cars, and even lorries got blown away. The storm got more furious as people spoke about it. The lonely town was trashed. The rain turned into a downpour. And everyone was unhappy.
