Sports day was coming up and Adam was determined to win the
80 metres race. There was just one very big problem, he was a really slow runner. He
really wanted to win, so everyday after school he went to the sports ground
and practised.
Finally the day arrived. The 80 metres race was starting and
everyone had their eyes on Adam. As he started they began to laugh. At first he
was coming last. He was so angry he worked up his speed and ran as fast as the
speed of sound right to the finish line and he actually won the race!
I'm really glad Adam won in the end. It's interesting that his anger made him run faster. I really enjoyed reading your writing and felt a great deal of empathy with your character because you used the right amount of detail. Your writing flows well. Well done for submitting a fantastic story to the 100 WC.
