As Christmas Day
drew near and near,
Everyone was in good
cheer.
Eyes were
gleaming,
And children
were dreaming,
About the
wrapped presents – that may lay in their stockings on Christmas Day.
The trees were
shown, with a star on-top
As the baubles,
hung stop after stop
The tree of
holly blew wild,
As the snow
piled, like a running mile.
This is known as
a Winter’s Christmas,
The kids play –
day after day
And no-one
remembers dismay.
For all is jolly
in this jolly season
Although there
is no need for a reason.
For Christmas
Day is very special…
