Looking forward to year 6, by Isabelle
I am kind of looking forward to year 6 but I am a bit nervous too. I am nervous about the 11+ and I’m wondering if I’ll catch up with school work in time. I am determined to get into the Skegness Grammar School because I feel like it will give me more options to what I want to do in the future. I am worried about not passing the 11+ and getting a low score, but I know there’s nothing to worry about if I stay calm. In year 6 I think I will enjoy getting opportunities in school.
Maya Diary by Mia
Dear Diary
I was walking through a jungle and I came across a temple. The temple looked quite old. It had about 91 stairs leading up to the top I only knew because a woman told me. So I looked more at it and it looked like it was Ancient! I was amazed so I asked a few more people to tell me more about and it was back when the ancient Maya lived but the one thing was it didn’t look old enough. Then off I went to explore more of the jungle and I saw a gorilla! AHHHH!!!

My visit to Scotland. by Lisa
I was on the train asleep, when suddenly I woke up, my dad
was with me.
“We are here!” said
my dad.
“Where?” I said.
“We are at Scotland!”
We got off and the first thing we saw was a bagpiper. I had
a photo with him and put a pound in his pot, then we went to find the hotel. It
was a Premier Inn, then we found ourroom and looked at the breakfast menu.
“YUMMY! I can’t wait till breakfast!”
Next we went to go and see my brother and sister at the
train station. It was my first time out the country.
The Holidays by Jessica
I am looking forward
to going to sleep for longer,
To have more time
playing out in the garden.
I am looking forward
to spend more time in the sun,
To watch television.
I am looking forward
to playing in the park more often,
To build sandcastles
near the beach.
I am looking forward
to seeing the view outside,
To go on a holiday and
drink exotic drinks.
I am looking forward
to listening to music,
To play fun board
games.
I am looking forward
to go out on day trips,
TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL,
FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL AND ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY
What I’m looking forward to this year by Tia A
I can’t wait for this
year because I will be moving into year six. In year six we will be able to go
on loads of trips and I will be the fourth oldest out of the kids in the whole
school. Year six is very scary it is your last year in The Richmond. We will
have to take our eleven plus to see which secondary school we will go to. In
secondary school it will be a lot scarier than what our primary is because it
is bigger and you will have to make some new friends!
Holiday to Australia by Kaci-Shaye
I went to
Australia and it took 13 hours to get to Singapore. Then we stayed there for a
4 days we looked around the markets and went to McDonalds for breakfast. Then
on the 4th day we packed and we got the mini bus to the airport. The first part
of Australia we went to Brisbane, at Brisbane it was my birthday and we went to
the zoo and saw a kangaroo and a koala. It was amazing and whilst we were in
Brisbane we went to a pancake bar. That night we went to a posh restaurant.

The Prison Cell by Tyler W
In the gloomy prison cell, the mould grows down from the rusted tap down to the floor; the bed as solid as a layer of bricks, a pillow like a book. The key got, “lost” the day my arch enemy James started to work at this prison and somehow I have survived in a mouldy room with a solid bed and a damp grimy floor. Only having two meals a day; soggy bread and old water. The only company being two dead flies and a living moth. Life in this prison cell is tough just imagine all the painful sorrow.
The Prison Cell by Isabelle
The cell was cold and dirty; I didn’t like it. I had been
put in there for not doing homework which is stupid. I didn’t dare sit anywhere
because of the cold and filthy place. The bed was uncomfortable and the floor
was too cold to sit on. It didn’t look like I could escape but even if there
was a way I still wouldn’t have a plan; Alcatraz is known for its inescapable
prison so I guess it was goodbye to sunlight for me. I didn’t like being locked
up; I don’t think anyone likes to be locked up.Saturday, 25 June 2016
I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see... by Chloe
My cat died so he went to heaven but I missed him so I went to London to get a new one. But not only one, 20 kittens. Then I went to the shop and saw cat beds I got 6 because there are 4 beds in 1 . I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see, cat toys, cat collars, cat food and more! I didn’t have enough for everything so I bought a bit of food as well as the beds. My favourite kitten was called Stampy but his mother Lola scratched me!
I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see… by Rhianna
I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see…
The cupcakes, the cookies and the pastry
The icing, the lemonade, the wonderful iced tea
If I could own everything in the bakery.
I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see…
The earrings, the bangles, the jewellery
The headbands as far as the eye could see
If I could own Claire’s accessories.
I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see…
The straws, the cups, the cutlery
The burgers, those were gluten-free
If I could own the party.
…I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see… by Tia M
I was walking down the street and I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see. I wanted all the money in the world and I want to buy a mansion but I can just see rain on the windows my glasses steamed up and I couldn’t see a thing so I took them off and I cleaned them. I didn’t put them back because they would steam up again and I walked home in the dull boring rain when I got home I put the fire on and I stood right near it. It was really warm.

…I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see.
It is so cool I have everything I want there is lots of pineapple and
treadmills and lots of other sporty things I am so excited to see what else is here.
I have pinched myself, lots of times and it is not a dream! I have found a
resurrecting potion so I can bring back my family that are dead. I am so
excited to get back to earth so I can bring back my family. I also want to see
my family too.
…I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see… by Paris
In the light on the beach with the sea shining and waves
waving. The sand blowing and the sun beaming right on me. I imagined what it
would be like to have all I could see with the palm trees sat right next to me.
It was amazing, I would love to have the sun beds laid in my back garden. I
would love it if the sun was beaming right in my garden. Also I would like it
if the palm trees waved in by garden cooling me down. That would be my dream I
would love it loads.
…I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see… by Frankie
I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see, the whole world on my computer. That’s what I was saying to my friends at school when I thought that it would be cool to see what was going on in the world. So I or we could help them if they were near or close to me and I would have a machine that helps everyone if they were hurt. I could help them and that would mean less work for the doctors in hospitals and also people will be more safe and more happy. Also it helps the world to be a better place.
…I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see… by Isabelle
Finally, I could rest but then it was dream time. I popped
up in a big white room with no doors or windows it was just a white room.
Suddenly I saw something in the distance I walked closer and closer but when I
got there, I found a cupcake that said “EAT ME!” so I did as was told and PUFF!
I was in a cupcake shop. There were chocolate cupcakes with shiny red cherries
on top and lots more. I imagined what it would be like to have all I could see
I would be rich, diet wise!

Violin, Eaten, Yellow, Airplane, Swept by Tyler S
That was a horrendous day I thought. In fact, I could tell
it you in 82 more words.
Well, it all started with a game of 21 dares. I won the
first three games but I couldn’t think of a dare to give so they all had to be
a truth. But then I thought of a dare (Finally). “18, 19, 20” I proclaimed and
at that point I won! So I dared him to eat a yellow violin on an airplane. So
he did!
In 30 minutes he had eaten a yellow violin on an airplane.
Could you believe?
Violin, Eaten, Yellow, Airplane, Swept by Aimee
I had just eaten my lunch in the airport. There were lots of
restaurants. We ate in a restaurant called the Yellow Giraffe. We paid for the
bill and just before we left we noticed that the floor was swept and polished.
It was almost our flight time so we made our way to the gates where we could
see the airplane we were going to fly on. On the plane I listened to some
music. I forgot to bring some headphones so I had to borrow my dad’s
headphones. I was humming to the music. I could hear violins.
The end by Kiefer
2022
I never thought today would be the end. I was playing outside with my little sister when…
I went inside to listen to the radio. It turns out world war 3 has started my worst nightmare has come true. I looked in the distance and an airplane came swooping down. It must have been a powerful airplane because it was sucking everything and I mean everything near it into its turbines. It swept our whole neighbourhood and eventually swallowed everything on our world before I had to go I played my violin in the saddest way possible…
The END!!!!

Violin, Eaten, Yellow, Airplane, Swept by Tyler W
Today was the day, the day that we were off to France we were
stood at the airport me, my sister and my parents all stood waiting for our
airplane. A yellow plane had just gone past and we had missed our flight! Brilliant!
The airport assistant came over to us and told us to take a seat. She quickly
swept the seat with her hand and got us a new flight. She offered us some food
but having just eaten I was not hungry. As we were getting on the plane there
was some violin music just before take-off.
