I think that a historical Roman artist (who is famous sculptor) made this because he admires animals and he believe that animals should be praised and worshiped. After all, they giveus food and items to use and they help us. So, when you go there, it’s like a little triangle of worship and you give praise for all the things they have given you. I think he put it in Italy, at Capranica right in the middle of the SutriAmphitheatre (to the north of Rome)because loads of people visit there when they are on holiday.
